I found this forum a week ago and only now am posting -- from the threads I've read, you all seem to be nice people and that's more than encouraging for me to post an introduction. I've never participated in any online forum before and always feel quite timid or uncertain to join one.
Well, introducing myself then: I'm Iris (but of course you can call me by my username, whichever is okay), a soon to be 23 years old girl (I say girl because I still feel like a teenage most of the time ¬¬) that is only a semester and a half away from obtaining her technician in Industrial Design diploma and plans to study Graphic Design after that. *cross fingers*
I can safely say that the greatest love of my life is (and probably will forever be) Art. That's sort of my nemesis as well: my biggest frustration is the fact I'm not a talented artist or an expert for that matter. All the things I don't know, still need to learn or just can't grasp -- ARGH. But I guess that's life, no one knows all even if only about a particular subject... right? :alien:
I like to learn (not to study though :() and subjects like Anthropology, Sociology, Languages, Psychology, History etc are very interesting to me and I would love to learn more and more about each.
Another noteworthy fact about me is that I'm very random eclectic; music wise especially. I can go from Frank Sinatra to Joy Division, for example. xD As for literature, I'm a classics lover. I adore childrens lit for some reason I'm still not entirely sure -- my best guess is the fantastic nature of the majority of them for I enjoy fantasy and sci-fi as well.
I love to have a laugh and chat -- feel free to contact me to have a chat if I'm online and you happen to be bored. I like soccer, volleyball and F1 although I fail at all three (ha!), dancing, listening to music, playing with animals, and, wow!, reading. The last one you didn't see it coming, confess it. :D
Mm, I guess that's enough for an intro post. I would just like to add that I hope to be a good member of this forum and since English isn't my native language, feel free to correct me if I ever misspell or use a word out of context -- I'll be grateful for that rather than angry or hurt. ;)
That's it. Have a nice day! o/
Hello there eventide. Welcome to Lit-Net. Make sure to vote on the native language poll. (We anglophones are getting to be a smaller minority everyday it seems). Enjoy yourself.
Thanks. Already voted.

Hello to everyone!
My name is Stefan, I am 25 years old, and I am from Romania.
I graduated Biology at Bucharest State Univesity and now I`m studying Philology, with an English major, at "Stephan the Greate" University. I am a big reader, and I love both British and American writers and poets. I wrote a fiew essays and articles for local papers, but I do not dare to concider myself a writer.
Literature is my greatest passion, from fiction to poetry and from Homer to modern writers. I love good music and mountain trips, from rock climbing to camping under the bare sky.
I love this site and I have greate concideration for all the people here, coming to get their literary "fix" for the day, and talk about what they read, enlightening or seeking light.
I am very glad to be here, I hope to feel at home among you and, maybe make a fiew friends.
All the best!
