Taliesen, why do you keep refering to yourself in the fourth person? Or is it a translation thing...
Are you Finnish?

We are estonian, not finnish. The languages are relatives and sound similarly to non-finns and non-estonians.
I borrowed a book from the library... Like most of the books at my Uni library it looks very old... the pages are yellow, the cover is falling apart, even the language has some old traits...not too archaic, but not too young either... It perfectly looked like many other books I've borrowed, printed in the 60s. So I turned it and check the print date on the last page.... July 1982. It didn't age well... It's funny, I'm oversensitive about my age these days, and even the book, that old worn-out book, is technically slightly younger than me ;) Yeah I like to find the romantic dramatic side of things :D
I only guessed Finnish because I know that Finland has military conscription. I imagine Estonia probably has the same military agenda considering what it borders with. No mention of compulsory military service on Wikipedia ... Oh NOES!Quote:

Teh Wiki is fallible!
If you poke someone with a stick they will get mad.
But if you poke a stick with someone the stick won't care..
I sang of leaves, of leaves of gold and leaves of gold there grew. Of wind, I sang and wind there came and in the branches blew!
It is a local holiday tomorrow. Hurray and God Bless Cricket!
This morning my captors demanded I give them three reasons why they shouldn't kill me right there on the spot.
I couldn't even think of one!
All my thoughts are questins, most of them are self directed.

Hugh Jackman is gorgeous most especially as Leopold in Kate and Leopold. Come on X3!
What should I have for lunch? I don't want to stay in the office, there should be a park around here.
It is overwhelming to contemplate how many people there are living on this planet, each unique and so individual and each a 'once upon a time.'
Why is it that every single law student I know gets all excited when you mention to him(her) that there's going to be a trial for murder at the regional court? It's not like there's anything funny in that. But I admit I get excited too. Though I didn't go watch the trial yesterday, I thought it was kind of creepy.
Does anyone else believe this forum has been hijacked by those who would rather debate religious questions, and hardly reference these to the literature from which they spring, rather than questions concerning literature? I want to see threads dedicated to the rise of literary movements such as transcendentalism, romanticism, symbolism, etc.; but instead I'm bombarded with religious bickering that amounts to nothing because each individual is too preoccupied with convincing the other of their own righteousness that nothing at all could be accomplished. This is a literature forum, not a religious forum. I don't mind this argumentation in moderation, and do admit to having learned a lot about other religions from this forum, but I come here to discuss literature, not religion.
Sometimes discussing other things beside literature is relaxing or fun or invigorating much like the general and games section.Quote:

I do agree, I was just venting some frustration built up while reading a thread that began with a question about what came before religion or God, and moved to predestination and God's omniscience. Perhaps you've read the thread. I just thought neither side made any progress throughout the argument, despite continued argument, and this built up some inner frustration in me.
Random thought: I really should quit screwing around on the forum to focus on schoolwork.
random thought,
why is it inevitable you will always crave something to eat that you either don't have on hand nor have the ingredients to prepare that day.
And yes I wish we could stop all this religious bickering stuff or every thread started will be locked.then we'll have to go somewhere else
LITERATURE ROCKS.
I hope all of the sane voices in this forum don't decide to focus on more important responsibilities like "schoolwork" and "reading"; and start disappearing.
That I won't be able to get anything done while chatting with those three should have been obvious from the start.
Another Monthly Test!
I didn't think it was possible that I'd still feel sort of wistful when I read what he wrote to an other girl. I don't even want him to be mine, he's way too complicated for that and I wouldn't want such a relationship with him. But it still makes me sad somehow...
Here, here. I applaud this statement. I've come to avoid anything that smacks of religious controversy. Does anyone really think that by preaching until you're red in the face that other people are either going to convert or become atheists from some strnager on a literature forum?Quote:

I wonder if Paya buys regular Glad Trash Bags or Glad Trash Bags with Odor Shield™?
I wonder how you got the superscript TM?
Believe it or not, I copied and pasted it from--get this--the Glad Trash Bag website!
Yes, even the most seemingly trivial and frivolous of my posts undergo a strenuous process of research and fact-checking.
I but the Glad Quick tie trash bags (with flaps (black - 30 gallon)) without the odor shieldQuote:
