The sky looks unique :)
And thanks for the review. I suspected I was having a problem with the colors. My eyes sometimes have a little problem telling light colors from one another. Surely that's why I didn't notice it before http://smiles.kolobok.us/standart/sc...one-s_head.gif

Thankyou Max :)
Here's some Christmas lollys for everyone

Thanks Max :)
This is the real moon (with its colours enhanced - Yes! The Moon is actually naturally colourful!) and a few stars and planets thrown in for good measure

A masterpiece nightscape!
I hope I can come up with a similar moon some day not too far http://smiles.kolobok.us/standart/sc...one-s_head.gif

I did this tiny animation and I'm wondering if the puffs of smoke look real enough, or if it would be better to turn them into a thin wisp:
-
Thanks Max. I didn't realise you'd responded and then contributed
This is what a steampunk firecracker display would look like if there were such a thing (if too untraditional just consider them Visitors)

First time in my life I see a steampunk firecracker display! Here's what I do when I see something new: http://fc00.deviantart.net/fs70/f/20...by_ahtibat.gif http://smiles.kolobok.us/standart/clapping.gif
:p
And since I wasn't pleased with the smoke coming out of the chimney, I finally decided to turn the puffs into a wisp. I did it thrice till I came up with a wisp I found convincing. Snowy scene reposted:

Thanks Maz.
And yes, I do believe the thin wisp looks much improved!

Thanks Mystyr!
I have a doubt about the realism of the following picture I made, particularly the wooden block adrift in the ocean... not really sure about the aspect of the waves against the wood. I tried to make a piece of wood partially touched by the waves in its upper side:
-
It looks like it could do with some more misty clouds over to the higher peak and obscurit a bit. The water looks cool, but I'm with you on the wood, looks a bit cardboardy . Perhaps if you reduced the white highlights, bringing it forward by darkening possibly, or changing the angle, or both?
I downloaded a hot air balloon model - I'll post soon.
-
Thanks for the analysis Mystyr. I'll see what I can do. And I'll be checking for that balloon.

That's really cute!
The colorful balloons remind me of a colorful lollipop I was once given by my grammar teacher as a reward for a correctly answered question... she has that habit towards good students :p
Just by pure chance I stumbled upon a tutorial on how to draw a snowman on Paint.Net and it reminded me of that Mr. Frosty animation I did not long ago. I think I may try to redo it, this time with a Mr. Frosty out of my own anvil :)
