Hello Everyone
Hi Noah, how was your day, thought those guys from finance a lesson yet? :)
Oh yes, from now on, they are going to do their job, just to keep me away from they :p
What about you? How was your weekend?
All was quiet. Didn't actually do all that much, needed a little rest after a few weekends in sequence that were quite bad for my health. Not to mention the weeks in between :D
Howzit all
Howdy, Whimsy!
Heya Whimsy
Hi Robin how are you?
Lovely, but mildly in need of a shower...you?
Glad that we aren't writing any tests this week
Hi Robin, Whimsy
Hey Aimus, to rest once in a while doesn't make harm! :D

Hi RJ
You're back! How are you today? I am sort of practicing and looking for a name for my fiddle.
I'm fine, how are you?
Name for a fiddle? Why do you want it to get it a name in the first place?
It's a hardangerfiddle(a norwegian instrument) and I am looking for a good norse name for it. I wouldn't name my violin, but my hardangerfiddle's different.
They look something like this:

Mine has 8 strings, 4 playing strings and 4 resonating understrings. It's a very light and loud instrument, traditionally played for concerts and dancing.
Very well, a little warmer than need be.
Try this site, mybe you'll find something. ;)

for that matter, you could also look here: http://www.rettarheimild.is/mannanof...&Samthykkt=yes
I am sort of considering Ylva, which means she-wolf, but I like the sound.
I love such sites. :) But more for character names in stories than names for instruments.
It's an Islandisk site, so I really can't decipher most of it very well, but the names are understandable. :D Not all of them are old norse, but most of them are.
I admit, except for the names the only word I understood was "janúar" because we have that too, sans the accent.Quote:

Nonetheless, the Islanders should be commended for preserving their heritage.
Your language is perhaps a little more like it. We're far off in Austria.

Sorry! I've noticed the term high-jacking in connection with the Captain Stan's thread - but this is the real thing!
bike as in bicycle (vs motorcycle), Mili
i go to univ by bike... when i was small my family used to go on cycling tours (sometimes up to 60km a day) every weekend in summer. i really miss that....
might get a motorcycle licence one day though... if i don't fall off the motorbike during lessons that is
I wish for the day when I will be able to wander around the whole city on my bicycle without anyone staring at me as I am dead.
hi everyone.
Hi all!!!!!!!!!!!!
