Patch the holes inside my mind.
Sweep what cobwebs you might find.
Redecorate and paint the walls.
I’ve silenced any random calls.

Hollywood and Vine
Just at that special time
Discovered, uncovered, recovered
Another fruit on the vine

Hmm difficult choice here. Anybody else? I'll give it a few more days.

This could've gone anyway to be honest,

tailorSTATELY. "Puttin on the ritz" That's Hollywood!
North star. First two lines nailed it (in a cynical way)
Yesno. Interesting angle - lots to think about.
Pendragon. " Another friut on the vine." - Excellent.

I'm giving it to Yesno, because sweeping out and redecorating minds is ultimately what Hollywood does.

The next theme for the minimalist contest is Santa.

Deadline: Hopefully around Christmas.

Santa

Unemployed for three hundred
And sixty four days every year
Santa and his helpers packed
A full year's work on this here
Day - delivering the goods to
All those who have been good,
And underwear for the naughty.

I was putting all the kids to bed
When my very littlest said
"Is tonight the night that Santa comes to see me?"
I nodded to him and said goodnight
And he said. "Telling me an old white bearded man is sneaking in might
Not be the best thing to help me fall asleep!"

Pendragon: Interesting how a child's assumed curiosity could also be fear.
