Literature, or perhaps art history. That would be wonderful.
Do you believe in blue horses?
“Lord, I specially care for those who are very logical, pragmatic and realistic; the ones who get impatient of those who believe in the little blue horse.”
Don Helder Camara

Ha ha. Of course I do. I've seen some on merry-go rounds, some in pottery centres and some in art galleries. They only ever appear in areas of cultural pretension, and are often immobile.
Is it better to give money to a registered charity, or to a beggar on the street, or not to give at all?
-
Oh, great, I get the toughy. :p Depends on what charity, and whether the beggar is standing outside a liquor store. I think it's best to give blankets or food -- something real. But if it has to be money, I'd afford any charity some heavy research. My grandma has a big book that gives letter grades to all the different charities, based on how much of the money actually gets to the poor people. But in both cases, there's this: a lot of people benefitted by charities aren't in the position to go out and beg for themselves, while a lot of homeless people are too suspicious of organizations, or feel too embarrassed, to seek help from charities. *shrug* In the best case scenario I'd say give to both, but then again, in the best case scenario they wouldn't need it.
How much time on average do you spend outside? (enjoying the outdoors, not walking down the street to somewhere)
-
Well, there are lots of variables to consider for that answer... It depends on the weather or if I have to work, stuff like that... Yesterday I spent the whole afternoon lying on my patio swing reading "Mercy Among the Children" by David Adams Richards. (Great book, btw) So, if I get the chance, several hours, but today it was rainy so I only went outside to go to work. And, boy, am I ever rambling... lol
What's your favourite thing to do while outside?
-
Watching the Sunset.
If you were to go anywhere in the world, where would you go?
-
I would settle for just getting out of my province, I haven't got the chance to do that in a while!
What other forums do you post on?
-
I post in the Personal Poetry and just made up some new
poems off the top of my head.
Where do you post?
-
I used to have lovely deep conversations as one of the only posting members of a Clockwork Orange board, but by all appearances the group-creator/admin-guy got banned from Yahoo. Or he decided to leave his poor Em out in the cold and delete his account and the group along with it. :( So now, I just post here.
Do you follow along with threads that you never post on?
-
yes.
do you know, i misread the last post, and saw your join date (2004) as your post count and got very excited? silly moi!
-
Hehehe. Aw, soon my pet. ;) And then they will come to take me away.
Are they coming for you, too?

They're Coming to Take Me Away, Ha-Haaa
from: Dr. Demento's Delights
Warner Bros. 1975
Remember when you ran away and I got on my knees and begged you not to
leave because I'd go berserk?? Well...
You left me anyhow and then the days got worse and worse and now you see
I've gone completely out of my mind.. And..
They're coming to take me away, ha-haaa!!
They're coming to take me away, ho-ho, hee-hee, ha-haaa
To the funny farm. Where life is beautiful all the time and I'll be
happy to see those nice young men in their clean white coats and they're
coming to take me away, ha-haaa!!!!!
You thought it was a joke and so you laughed, you laughed when I had said
that loosing you would make me flip my lid.. RIGHT???
I know you laughed, I heard you laugh, you laughed you laughed and
laughed and then you left, but now you know I'm utterly mad... And..
They're coming to take me away, ha-haaa,
They're coming to take me away, ho-ho, hee-hee, ha-haaa.
To the happy home. With trees and flowers and chirping birds and basket
weavers who sit and smile and twiddle their thumbs and toes and they're
coming to take me away, ha-haaa!!!
I cooked your food, I cleaned your house, and this is how you pay me back
for all my kind unselfish loving deeds.. Huh??
Well you just wait, they'll find you yet and when they do they'll put you
in the ASPCA, you mangy mutt!!! And...
They're coming to take me away, ha-haaa.
They're coming to take me away, ho-ho, hee-hee, ha-haaa.
To the funny farm, where life is beautiful all the time and I'll be happy
to see those nice young men in their clean white coats and they're coming
to take me away, ha-haaa!!!
To the happy home, with trees and flowers and chirping birds and basket
weavers who sit and smile and twiddle their thumbs and toes and they're
coming to take me away, ha-haa!!!
To the funny farm, where life is beautiful all the time... (fade out)
Hey, buddy!
Yes officer..
You a head?
No, but I'm catching up, ha ha ha....
original recording by Napoleon XIV
Have you heard this song?
-
Yes, yes, a thousand times gloriously yes! :D :D :D I had a tape with that one, and a bunch of other Demento stuff, when I was little. Actually, that song was running through my head when I wrote my last post. :D (As it does periodically, for some strange reason. ;))
[edit]: oh, question... Have you heard the one that goes "beep beep, beep beep, the car went beep beep beep" and it ends "hey buddy how do I get this car out of second gear?"?
-
no i havent, but i would like to....
did you ever see the Quizno's commercial with the nasty singing rats on it?
-
Yes. They're called the Spongemonkeys. :D
Have you ever seen the original? http://www.rathergood.com/moon_song/
Have you seen the marching Laibach kittens? http://www.rathergood.com/laibach/
-
omg i cannot believe you did that to me!!
i have never despised anything so much as them in my life. in fact, i wrote a scathing letter to quizno's about their use of the rats in their marketing campaign. ARGHHH.....ewwww...they are just so disturbing!
*feels need to rinse with listerene after viewing such a thing*
