I think I should have edited my comment, as looking back I can see how it can be taken out of context.If that line appeared discriminatory, it was my mistake.I'm not an endorser of an ageist culture. I seriously think there is nothing wrong with older people coming to this forum, that was not what I was attempting to convey.I wasn't actually thinking of you myself, Virgil, but I agree that someone can contribute to a forum, no matter what age they are and have only purely friendly intentions.I was actually thinking more of private messages, and considering the actual age of the person who I may be conversing with.And hypothetically:I would like to know at least roughly what age group someone, who I was talking to, belonged to, as there could possibly be people online, who have less than innocent motives and may be good at manipulating their minors, but I do not seriously consider that much of a risk currently.Most I have come across on the forum seem great and very sincere.And I think it's vastly different chatting to a 67 year-old grown man, than a 17 year-old boy.But I still think one can chat to people of all ages.There is nothing wrong with someone befriended an older person.I have no problem with that and never would like to promote the idea that anyone who is friendly with a young teenager, must automatically have pedaphilic tendencies.Sadly, some people like that do exist in societies and prey on the more vunerable and inexperienced, but I am not wishing to strongly endorse a stereotype here, so I'm sorry if you found that comment insulting.I truly think you sound like a great, honest, decent guy, and devoted husband.I really love reading your posts.And I hope no one was offended.
