Provided the blades are sharp enough, yes, I would.

No...that's what God invented mowers for...

Would you mow your grass with a gallon of gasoline (petrol) and a match?

Maybe to make it grow stronger, but not while living in a neighborhood (the neighbors would complain about the smoke :p)
