:p
tried that the whole cabbage just kept rolling off
You are not supposed to put the cabbage as a whole.
Ehh yes you are for rolled cabbage leaves.
Or I though so anyway. It worked. The leaves softed so I could take them off without damaging them.
:D
Although if I had thought ablout it properly I might have chosen to put the cabbage in the steam basket
Tongs is a good idea, and I plan to buy some for next time.
Ok talking about clumsines is kind of depressing so ladies how about a subject change?

and while we are on the subject, costume or real? gold or silver? platinum?
classic or wierd?
:D
Silver over gold any day!
Well yellow gold platinum and the really really expensive stuff whats it called? now that is a yes anyday!
Although truthfully I dont wear much jewlery, i have an allergy to most forms of silver, only kind Ive found that is ok is mexican grade silver. and I only wear a ring on a regular basis.
I do like costume jewlery though, the more bizzare the better, although not chunky. pendants are good.
Oh anklets and toe rings I also like, they don't get in my way like most other jewelry. ( I dont even wear a watch- I once got caught on a door handle and ended up with some nasty bruises. )
Those are all lovely Nightshade. I think it would depend on the outfit and the occasion and the mood you're in.
National Geographic and Novica put out a line of beautiful, unique, handmade jewlery.
http://jewelry.novica.com/ I think the hunger site also sells some of the national geographic jewlery. Some of it gets a bit pricy but these really are artful pieces
Oh I just love this http://jewelry.novica.com/pendantspe...ffodil/157227/
but I know just by looking at it I come out in hives if I wore it *sigh*
Ohh or this one http://www.kimandmaki.com/product.as...&pfid=KAM00333
costs waaaaaaaay too much but its called nightshade and has a recipie for brownies on it? How awesome is that?!
I love things that aren't what they appear  :D
That's really cool Nightshade!!
Some jewlery look better as art pieces. But if you wore something really simple you could get away with some elaborate jewlery pieces. It's awful when you see people wear the obnoxious combination of loud outfits and elaborate jewlery. Some of the really old disgustingly wealthy ladies who live around here wear sequined outfits with HUGE rings and earrings and necklaces.
I totally dig this bracelet (but not for that price!!) http://shop.thehungersite.com/store/...tegory&index=9

Ohhh guess what everyone! This Thursday.... I'm going back to short, blonde hair.
SHORT!
BLONDE!
I haven't had short hair in about a year (I'm going back up above the shoulder) and I haven't been a proper shade of blonde for about 2 years! This'll be fun.
Cool deal, sprinks! Er, what is your current hair situation, lol?
it falls to about half way down my chest, and is black
One extreme to the other :D
I guess so! That's cool, though; sometimes you just want a change. If I'm lucky, my hair will be long enough to donate later this month when I get it cut.
How many of y'all on here have heard of Locks of Love? It's pretty cool, but I don't know if it's just a States thing or not . . ..
My favorite hen died. She had an egg that was just too big and it killed her. :(

Yes, they operate only in the US but they accept donations from other countries too.
Last summer, I donated my hair and sent it off to them because they are the only charity that does not charge the patients for the wigs (as far as I could see) and they did not refuse my hair because it came from another country.
There is a thread somewhere here on my "after-donation blues".
Hi girls! How was the day?!
It's hot in Trinidad. Well, it's almost always hot, but today the humidity was ridiculous!!
Scher -- well, I'm glad they took your hair! I'm sorry you had post-donation blues, though. =(
And Motherhubbard, I'm sorry about your hen! Was she like a pet?
Anyone any ideas how i can turn back time and may today wednesday? :(
No, but if you figure it out please let me know - would be a very welcome feature over here too!
Welcome aboard Virg!
Hi ladies! It's been a while, how's everyone doing?
grand!
