I have done that in the past, because I normally just keep them in my pockets (mainly pens); they accrue and get lost from day to day regardless.

I stumble a lot, and it depends on which foot I stumble from, but I tend to put my right foot forward; otherwise, my arms catch me.

36 hours is nothing. Backpacking and rainforest trekking will do that to you ;)

Sometimes, yes. While hiking, and such, I have learned how to pack light, but while traveling for longer excursions, I always pack those "what if" items. :p

No, but I'm on the list for when they catch the guys who shot at me. They'll even be charged with attempted murder! Technically that means I've already survived an attempt on my life!
