do you believe in infinity (infinite spacetime...we know the universe had a "beginning" so the "time" part would have to stop somewhere), or are you one of the "boundless" types. I suppose boundless spacetime is more plausible, but I'm more inclined towards the universe is infinite...I mean, this is poor logic, I know, but say you have an egg. Say that's the universe. What's on the outside of that shell? Nothingness...empty space...but scientists have proved that even in vacuum there are "virtual" particles (excuse if it's not virtual, I haven't read any of this stuff for a long time, and I don't study science), so wouldn't that still classify as the universe?
This is going to be a very wierd answer so just try to keep up ok? Here it goes. God is infinate right? So if you include God in the universe than yes obiviously it would have to be infinate how can anything less hold infinity? On the other hand God created the universe so Its got to be contained. Maybe infiante to the human sensess but obiviosly not really really Infinate. Have you ever seen the star Treck :next Generation episode that ends with someone saying for all we could all be in a snowglobe on someones table? ssort of like that we think it ges on for ever but it doesnt really.
