PBM: Who avatar (besides your own) do you like the best?
I like many...yours, Baddad's, Mono's, and AimusSage's probably numbering among my favourites.
PBW - okay, just kidding. PBM...hmmm.....what do you think about society?
Hmmm, difficult and general question. I suppose for society as a whole, in my American culture (for it really depends on the culture), I have much hope, but see ourselves too often succumbing to our less-humane instincts, appetites, and apparent pre-requisite of greed for 'happiness' - thus appears burglary, murder, unwanted pregnancy, controllable obesity, very unneeded war, etc. Sadly, we (and I speak of myself, too) rely much on others to solve problems - the miracle pill for all medical conditions, funding for multiple reasons and from multiple sources, immense problems with pollution, etc.; and, even worse, it seems we require some kind of traumatic event to stir us into action, preventing further damage, when all could have had prevention to begin.
Of course, I speak very generally, for good reasons, as according to the forum guidelines, but, overall, I have much hope for all societies. Fate, if it indeed exists, can never seem utilitarian, promoting the greatest good, yet I feel optimistic.
Whew!
To the person below me: what did you call your dream occupation as a child?
When i was a child I always dreamt of becoming an adult as quick as possible to experience my adult life like the others do. Once an adult I'm really chocked.
Same question
My main concern as a child was finding a "wishing stone". As soon as I learned how to read and write, I made my first entry in my diary: "First of all I should find the "Wishing Stone." As a matter of fact I am still looking for it.

Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul...
Question from Quixotte: What is HOPE for you?
Hope is a word made of four letters. 'H' like hide your emotions; 'O' like open your eyes; 'P' like punctuate yourself; and 'E' like emotions. When they are gather, they make up a word that make our dreams alive, our embitions alive, and, in short, us alive. 'Hope' is a word that one understands its meaning intill he/she loses it. It's in our thoughts and believes.
To the person below me: do you agree with my definition of 'hope'? If not, give one of yours?
Yes, I agree mostly with your definition, adilyoussef; it makes much sense, though I do not see a lot of purpose in hiding emotions. I suppose, to me, hope has always consisted of a driving force (a motive, or, sometimes, a need) that can too often get confused with expectations; until then, it seems nearly pure, sometimes stagnant and latent, but persistent.
To the person below me: what most motivates you in life - yourself, friends, family, success, intimacy, power, etc.?
Family and friends for they make me the richest person in world. You can have your money, power, and all that comes with it but for me without them I would not have been brave enough to send in a poem which started my writing.
To the person below me:What was to most horrific experience you have ever had?
The most horrific experience for me is indeed the cursed moment of my life! And that was when I met my ex-boyfriend.HE'S A DUMP!
tO you : HOw did you try to keep out from your horrific moment?
Personally, I just try to make wise choices, though it seems far easier said than done. I only try not to act out of impulse, but rather out of intuition, and, most importantly, take responsibility for my own actions, not involving others.
To the person below me: what music do you find most irritating, and why?
What I term as screammy bashy music---Heavy metal because it hurts my ears and I cant understand what they are saying and I cant sing along or dance along to it!
PBM Same Q
Rap, Hiphop, because it is painfull to hear people just saying words, without even using a real instrument, just taking samples of other peoples work. I prefer music with actual instruments. Like Metal :p
PBM, What is your favourite film, and why?
Lords of Rings. For the 'why' I have no idea. Maybe because of the science fiction that ot includes.
To the person below me: have you ever made an attempt to write a story? If so, was it a success or not?
I do write stories my own and I find it good for me but it's for my closet only. So, I don't find it really succesful.....I think none could appreciate it.
Who do you think will win the battle of the sexes?F...M....?
Er, we think that if one loses, the other one loses too. There is no win-lose scenario, only lose-lose or win-win ones.
PBU: Have you ever created fictionary characters? If yes, then which one of them is your favourite?
Hmmm.... it must be Sylvia Grey... a blonde slim American girl in her teens, who's a twin ophan with her older sister Elizabeth. She has a wonderful voice, which can arrest anybody's attention with any word.
PBM: What do you think holds for you or any other person after death? Does being a 'good' person matter greatly?
I remain such a skeptic with questions like these, questioning myself what comes after death, if anything. Yes, however, I do believe one's actions during life determine what happens next, as determined by some higher Being, whether judgment to heaven, hell, purgatory, or reincarnation occurs, but, as I mentioned, I claim skepticism regarding everything concerning the subject.
To the person below me: have you ever encountered what you would consider a miracle, and, if so, what happened?
When I was 5 I saw an Angel. At least I belive I saw an Angel everyone else sasy it must have been a pigeon but I maintain that as children can see angels when they are babies I was allowed to see one then.
PBM do you think Im insane???
Insanity, as one of my teatchers have told us in class in a course of drama, begins with the lost of the meaning of space and time. As i can see, you know where you are, how old were you when it hapned and what you are doing right now. So for me you are not.
To the person below me: what is you definition of insanity?
Someone whom stares blankly into yours and you see the vast nothingness which reflexs from their eyes. Nothing recognizable is left within the shell of their body and you scream out in grief. :(
Person below me: Would you kill the man whom raped child? I would not know myself but I would diffenently be insane afterwards.
 Definitely YES!Those kind of people has no place here nor in heaven!right?hahaha...... :flare:
PBM: What if I don't ask question now....will the game still go on?hick!.... :alien:
Nope, it shall live on forever.
Person below me: Would you like to be immortal and if so why?
No dont think so it would get boring after a while life that is

errrum both together but more importantly long term i guess
PBM how do you know if water is really wet?
Because when I step into the shower I need a towel to dry off.
Person below me: Do you believe that animals have a intelligence? Because sometimes I wonder if I do.
I think it really depends on one's definition of intelligence, but, yes, I do believe many animals have abilities of thinking, memory, adaption, and learning, though often not as advanced as humans (with a few exceptions of people I know :D).
To the person below me: do you think you would enjoy fame during your whole lifetime?
I guess it would depend on the type of fame... fame as an actress or movie star? no.
PBM: Which do you do: Eat what you would like to eat, or, Eat what you know is good for you, but is not your favourite? Why?
You remind me of Socrates: "Most men live to eat. I eat to live." (misquote, let me apologise for my bad memory...and if it wasn't Socrates then I'll kill myself)
Probably a balance of both, Adelheid. Eat what you know is good for you on most occasions, but every now and then, eat something that tastes delicious but is not healthy. The ultimate is to like what is good for you. :D There are some foods that taste great and are great as well...
To the person below me: What do you fear most? E.g. spiders/snakes/cockroaches/heights/mice/lice/exams? :brow:
None of those. I fear sharks. :D They are gruelsome creatures of the sea who show no mercy.
Do you fear the unknown? Or do you usually shrug it off, and wait for it to become known first?
I see an Australian speaking. :D Pity you live in a country with no ocean bordering...else you could swim with one. With grey nurse sharks, in fact, in the Sydney Aquarium.Quote:

Honestly, shark attacks are very rare. People eat more sharks than sharks eat people...the grey nurse shark (harmless) has been hunted almost to extinction by humans...it's now the first shark species on the endangered species list...you may be thinking of the shark attack in Adelaide we had...was it last year? on the 18-yr old guy? Well that was horrific but still rare.
Snakes and things are more common.
In Australia at least. :p
What about donkeys? I have it on good authority that more people are killed by donkeys than are killed in air crashes...
Shrug it off, mostly. There's not much point fearing the unknown when you don't know what it is. :brow:Quote:

To the person below me: How do you define "truth", if indeed you believe there is such a thing...
Well, well, it's a relief to hear that the Sharks are becoming extinct. It's a pity though, that they are still populated enough for one to meet ifyou have a cut in the Ocean :D
Truth? The Bible is Truth. Every single word of it. Since God is truth, everything He speaks is therefore Truth.
What do you believe in?
I believe in the equality of all things,
I believe in the unimportance of human life,
I believe in no religion being superior.
For those who don't know, it's called atheism. :p
PBM: I thought God was Love?
Or is Love Truth?
And Truth Love?
There are many names to God, and those you listed are but a few of them. He is love, yes, and Truth, as well as Mercy, Justice, Compassionate. Above all, He is the same. Yesterday, Today and Forever. What you saw Him capable of yesterday, he is more than capable of today, and in the future.
PBM: Don't you think anything you believe in is considered religion? Otherwise, what IS religion in your opinion?
Good question. I usually think of religion as
thoughQuote:
Belief in and reverence for a supernatural power or powers regarded as creator and governor of the universe.
andQuote:
A set of beliefs, values, and practices based on the teachings of a spiritual leader.
are also religion.Quote:
A cause, principle, or activity pursued with zeal or conscientious devotion.
In which case, Shakespeare is my bible. :p
As Dyrwen would say, I can believe I can fly...
...but that belief in itself is not a religion unless I worship it...
..worship my imaginary wings...
...I could worship my imagination...
...but would that be religion?
PBM: Do you like throwing pebbles on water?
Yes I love doing it I cant get them to skip though.
horrible creatures I once lost a toe nail because one stood on my toe.Quote:

PBM: Same question.
Actually I have the same opinion . Fate Good and fate Evil in that everything happens for a reason or as a test and although you cant change fate (the cirrcumstances(is that spelt right??) you do shape your own destinyy/path/life by the choices you make
PBM Same Q this is interesting
Yah I believe in fate. Some people say tha they are in controle of theirlives and can shape their desteny. But not for sure. We are not in total controle of ourlives and there is not a total controle over them also. There are choices that we are faced to make; and the decision is totaly ours. Fate interfere when evrything is out of controle.
...uh! I like the subject.Same Q
Hmmm, fate, interesting question. I believe in fate to a limit. Does everything, the history of the world, seem written in a book somewhere? No. Many things happen for a reason, I do not believe in coincidences, and every event does have some sort of significance that we cannot change; even an attempt of changing it would seem significant. Personally, I believe more in autonomy than fate/destiny; the future does exist, and perhaps already underwent any type of formation by some questionable higher Being, but fate seems much more idea-based in the human psyche than actual (to me).
To the person below me: same question --
