Hello Kitty III
Tiny tiger waits
Crouching behind sofa. Pounce!
Furry slipper slayed
I’m not sure what makes cats so prone to kidney disease, Danik. We lost one to that malady a while back. I gotta wonder if it’s environmental. Donno. So I remember a comedian doing a bit about house cats. The gist of it was - people don’t really know their cats all that well. He said he once had a cat named Nelson, or thought he did. He found out Nelson also lived with family a half mile away. The cat would eat dinner at his house and then make his way over the hill and eat another dinner with his other family, whose kids had named him Charlie and assumed he was their cat.

Enjoyed #III :)
The ads I get on fb (because I have a few 'cat feeds') mention taurine deficiency as a factor... I'm sure there are more.

Enjoyed the poem in III!
What I know is that cats need much water. One should distribute water pots in the different rooms of the house or even buy a water fountain if the cats are used to drinking running water. Also ne should alternate dry food with wet food an avoid salty food like the beloved tuna fish. All this accordin̈g to my cat's vet.
-
I'm probably guilty of giving the little guy too much tuna because he really-really likes it, but he gets plenty of water. We have several bowls around the house, and I always leave the lid up.
-
My Tino loved it too, he ate it, when he couldn't eat anything else. There are sardines too. The vet used to say that they are the perfect food for cats.
-
I ration tuna, for Tinky and myself... mercury concerns... but when he is allowed he loves it :) He always has kibble out (he's a nibbler not a gobbler) and gets 1/2 small can of wet cat food daily... along with his treats at his demand :) Angel, our ferine, has a similar regimen being fed from 2-households, but mostly mine :)
-
Lol! Two household to attend to their demands! Angel and Nelson understand about cat well being! A daily portion of wet food seems OK for me.
-
Speaking of well being, we do try to limit Neko to balanced, healthy meals, but he won’t stand for it. He’s noisy when he does’t get what he wants, so he usually gets what he wants. He’s a Siamese cat, but we gave him a Japanese name, Neko-san, although I’m pretty sure he thinks of himself as The Devine Wind, but since he’s so noisy, he responds to — Shaddup-you.

Downright balmy here in the Gold Country compared to the North and East of our nation. Glad your weather has moderated a bit in S.P. :)
