I need to learn to listen or in some cases read and sht up or stop typing long enough for the other person to speak :brickwall :brickwall
and
I have to stop 'pestering' 'catching' and 'stalking' people
or Ill be all alone soon and stuck back in the same state of life and mind as I was when I wrote alone in a crowd.
now that is a scary thought.........
bored am I even though i was just at a baby shower for my cousin
People sent PM and askin for inputs for their papers. I helped some, I ignore some. Maybe I should put charge on this homework thingy.
A secret is only a secret as long as it is kept a secret. And do I have a lot of secrets. Maybe I should stop hoarding them as much as I do.
Then again, what good is a secret if it is not kept as one?

My random thought of the day is how I have missed you guys.
There is no internet connection at my new apartment so I hardly ever go online.
I just realized that sometimes I can't stand kids, but other times I adore them. I hope I won't have that problem with my kid.... this might suprise those of you who know me but I'm pregnant so good luck to me...

Congratulations and good luck, Helga! :)

By the way, your parents didn't ask to be born, either. Nobody does.
Well, Congratulations, May you have a healthy kid!

And Helga, I think you may be our first member to share such fantastic news. I've been pregnant three times myself.........no........wait!!........That was my wives.......but my point is this; The power weilded by parents has the potential to change the universe. The ripples in the fabric of existence created by a new birth extend much farther than any can imagine. YOu go girl, I know that as a parent you will make us all proud...........have care friend.......
P. S. Oh, and Helga? What is the baby's screen name............?
my schools teaching through propaganda

Nightshade, we wait, standing by the window, pushing back the curtain, anticipating your return! :D
I love Squash!!! Every Fall I remember how much.
I eat zuchini squash every week and occasionally yellow summer squash, but today I bought butternut squash for the first time in decades. When I cut it open, I discovered it is mainly a mass of inedible seeds and gunk. The cooking instruction printed on the label was written for aliens from Pluto. How do I cook this damn thing -- or did I buy an ornamental gourd?Quote:

I'm guesing 375? until soft?Quote:

Haven't owned a microwave in ages. Ever since I nuked some food wrapped in aluminum foil and went back in time.Quote:

Really? I've never tried baking zucchini, I generally grill mine, ok its really frying but I pretend because I have one of those pans with the bumps to simulate grilling. Let me know how it turns out......I'm intrigued and I may want to revisit the Butternut Squash risotto debacle. Vengence will be mine!Quote:

I know what you mean, I love apple cider too, but if I bring some home, I have to resign myself to the fact that I'll only get one cup before it's gone.
Hope you get your cider Bong!
I suddenly find Purple a very romantic color!
Purple rules!!!
Just finished reading The Colour Purple by Alice Walker.
The color purple in the color dictionary is the color of royalty.
I knew a Buick that smelled like Purple crayons.
Purple crayons smell differently than the others? How do the other colors smell?
You can't smell color?
Can you feel color?
*
Dark colors have a heavy scent
Light colors are more like fermented fruit.
* ;)
scented crayons have fragrence.
Write now I am sitting in the cafiteria, wondering what I should eat... each food item is less appetizing than the others, but I am really hungry, and don't feel like walking 30 min to the nearest resteraunt...
Choices be:
-nasty waffles
-nasty egg muffin
-nasty unidentifiable rasin breadlike thing
-Nasty cininamon bun (well, I hope thats what it is)
or...
-Nasty ancient as god cereal...with no milk.
I'm thinking I'll wait to lunch.
I know people who can smell and taste and touch color. Yes it is what you think.Quote:

.....What's with all the purple talk...hey look the confused smilie is purple :eek2:..........strange...
I FEEL purple today. I've loved someone for 25 years, and it is reciprocated. But we've never done anything about it, except to spend time together once a year. Sounds romantic, but it sucks. We spent the weekend together. And now I feel purple, dark, smokey purple......
Though I have lurked around the forum a few times, I thought to peep my ID in really quickly after receiving a report of a private message someone e-mailed me (which I know I have a few e-mails to reply - I apologize :p).
Thank you all so much for your pleasant wishes, and I certainly miss you all.
I remain in improved health, good status in nursing school, and hoping to begin a procrastinated play relatively soon. Meanwhile, you all remain in my thoughts, and I hope to return fully in approaching time, as I have read a plethora of excellent books that I cannot wait to discuss, including A Sand County Almanac by Aldo Leopold (on a good recommendation from shortysweetp), The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath, Critique Of Practical Reason by Immanuel Kant (Kant's shortest and most challenging 'critique'), and I just started Love In The Time Of Cholera by Gabriel Garcia Marquez.
Many regards and hugs to you all, and a special wink for baddad, subterranean, amuse, Scher, Koa, Aurora Ariel, Helga, Logos, Darlin, and shortysweetp. I will see you all soon. :)
what a beautiful surprise to see a post by you Mono. and I see you've been reading a lot... :D hope to see you soon again the forum...we miss you... :D
Good to see old mono!
