My grandmothers rosary. It's not very valuable and I don't necessarily believe in praying the rosary but it reminds me of my grandparents, besides everything else can be replaced.

What's the last thing you ate or drank?
Although is a warm morning I drank coffee a while ago. I feel like a zombie if I don't drink coffee in the mornings.
What was the last weirder thing that you did?
I turned down a great job, because I want to be a writer  :goof:
Same question.
I played with a metal detector in the living room this evening. Apparantly the cat has a metal plate in his head. :D
What would you define as a fun evening?
I think it really depends on my mood, which can range immensely. If I feel in a more energetic, exciting mood, perhaps attending a concert or a movie with some friends and/or family, followed by an evening on the town, doing whatever proceeds :D; in other cases, a calm evening of reading or writing, with some coffee or tea, and some light classical music playing in the background sounds suitable.
To the person below me: do you tend to worry often and strive towards perfection, or not worry, "letting things fall as they may," so to speak?
Oh, definitely a worryer and perfectionist here. Could not "let things fall" if my life depended on it. Does not mean that people notice I try to do thinks perfect ;).
To the person below me: what would you immediately do if you win 10 million in a lotery?
Be extremely happy with my good fortune and buy a lot of cars and a mansion with a huge library for a ****load of books I'll buy. I'll invest the rest. No good deeds like charity, I am egostical and mean like that.
To the person below me: When do you feel most selfish?
I feel most selfish just when I realize I've acted selfishly............but I suppose self awareness is a learning tool.......
Ttpbm: Do you often/sometimes/never examine your own motivations after a particularly gruelling interaction with someone?
often.
To the person below me: Do you still get nightmares from which you wake up sweating? If so, how often?
Yes.. but not so often. Had a very terrible one a couple of weeks ago. But mostly it is once a month or so. I am more afraid with my eyes open ;).
I am curious what someone else will answer.. so I ask the same question..
cool question...! ;)
not really. It's hard to explain- it only happens after I read a particularly scary or mystifying story, that I keep thinking about it in my sub-conscious mind, and toss and turn on bed all night, imagining the murderer or whatever else is after me. :D I "wake" up in the morning feeling more tired than before I went to bed!
To the person below me: How often do you visit this website, and how long (average) do you spent on it each time?
I usually visit every week, but recently... every few months ^^;
when I'm here, I usually spend an hour or so online.
To the person below me:
What's the most unusual thing you've ever eaten?
Hmmm, I have consumed some strange things, for sure . . . before my vegetarian days, many years ago, a friend tricked me into eating haggis once; not to sound like a preaching vegetarian, however, any meat (or mixture :p) sounds unusual to me. Other than that, mochi seems always strange to eat, but delicious! :D
To the person below me: who, do you know (friends/family/enemies), has most inspired you, and how/why?
My grandmother's boyfriend Ken Vaughn died last year. He was the most fascinating person I have ever met. He was working on getting a patent for a hospital invention, he was in WWII, he starred on a T.V. show, and he was the kindest person you will ever meet. He loved my grandmother even though she was a gold-digger but loved her as much as he could. I wish I knew him better.
What's is your first memory ever? The first thing that ever happened to you ever?
my first day of 3 year old preschool. my now best friend came up to me and said 'boys don't wear dresses" (i had a "pixie" hair cut and she thought i was a boy it was the start of possible one of the most honest friends ships ( i have to go and repress memories now :'( ))
what is the best book of all time
For me: Garden of Eden by Ernest Hemingway..
What is most striking about your best friend?
the odd color of her eyes.
Blue, with little white markings that look almost like tiny veins, or capped waves, randomly in there.
it's beautiful.
(getting away from the looks department) she enjoys eating insects with me =) ... that's more rare than one might imagine.
below me, same question.
In appearance - her large, beautiful eyes, and (I know it sounds strange) her hands.
In personality - her astounding wisdom, for someone her age.
To the person below me: where would you call the oddest place you have traveled?
oddest place... windsor, nova scotia, canada.
odd customs in that little town, but I enjoyed it quite a bit because of them.
to the person eblow me, what's your favorite scent, and what, if anything does it remind you of?
My favourite smell is the "old book" smell, and that reminds me of libraries. (This is closely seconded by the "new book" smell.)
To the person below me: Is the glass half empty or half full?
empty after i drink it all.
Is there anything that doesn't exist?
Money trees that are available to everyone, on sale in garden centers :(
If you could wear anything, any type of clothing, from any era or age in time, what would you wear & why? :)
hold on a minute... doesn't the word is imply existance? Are there money trees that are available to everyone that don't exist?
Someone could construct a money tree. With a little tape and time.
Space suit from the original moon landing. Because they're rad.
If you could live happily on any planet other than earth, which would you choose; and briefly, why?
Mars, and very briefly, with a spacesuit on, or a biodome, otherwise I would suffocate.
To keep with the Space theme:
How would you define a planet, is pluto according to you a planet, or just a big chunk of ice from the Kuipersbelt?
I'm going to say its a planet, only because I'm clinging to the belief I learned in school which taught that there were nine pantes, Pluto being the last. Percival Lowell discovered it I believe and named it after that loveable Disney Dog......(ok perhaps not)
Which sci fi world would you live in if you could?
I would live in the world of Stargate. :)
More sci-fi... If you could travel back in time, would you try to change anything?
hardly, except maybe a considerate distribution of condoms to random celebrities and politician's parents....
Does music give you mood swings?
Sometimes, certain kinds of music will either enhance or nearly destruct my mood, but rarely changes my mood entirely; it more exaggerates my moods.
To the person below me: what phenomenon (or phenomena) most interests you?
Really, I'm not intrested by any fenomenon. But the thing that most fasinates me is human's emotions and how they affect our relations with the people cloese to us. I always ask myself "why do we love a person without having the right to choose this love or refuse it?" I mean that our emotions and affections can be directed to a person who sometimes we know nothing about him or her. But what is the relationship between the image that we see and the affection and pumping of the heart that it arise when it is seen.
To the person below me: have you ever felt that you are not in controle of your life? If so, how did you manage to overcome this situation?
Many, many times. I overcame the feeling when I realized that we only control certain aspects of our lives and this control is initiated by the choices we make. Volition is the drive of our circumstance. Besides, life is chaos, and chaos is applied throughout the universe, so why should our particular circumstance be any different?
Have you ever given any merit to the idea that you may have influenced another person just by the power of your thoughts?
Often. What made you ask that particular question do you think?
*grins knowingly*
One possession you can do without for the rest of your life?
*thinking hard* i'd have to be the .....ermm..... goodness, this IS a hard question! What CAN i do without??? ah ha! I got it... my bad dreams. :D
Have u ever walked into a room and forgotten why you ever walked in there? Say one incident.
Um i walked downstairs to get my calculator, and i forgot what i was looking for, came back and returned to my homework... and rememebered.
Not exactly an entertaining story, but you asked.
What is the most mediocre thing you've ever done? (most mediocre sounds funny, but deal with it)
by the way... chimpman or whoever said it: if you construct something that doesn't exist, it now exists.
so my question from way back when remains. Is there anything that doesn't exist?
Boy, where do i start?
I guess the most mediocre is make medoiocre grades.
Do you believe in karma? Why? Examples?
Yes, I believe in Karma, often the instant kind. Why? John Lennon told me so in a song. And it appeals to my spiritual side. Examples? Sure, nothing specific, but all our actions have consequences and these are what I term, 'Karma. Hang out with the wrong type of people, do bad things, bad things happen to you (or so we can designate this cause and effect correlation if we need reasons as to why poop happens). Whatever circle you move in dictates the type of consequences you experience from your actions.....vague enough answer? Well, Karma is pretty vague too.........
I feel that Fool deserves an answer as well: Some believe that if we imagine it, it exists on SOME plane......so if a person were to answer your question,Fool, they would in some respects be creating the very thing they claim does not exist.......hrumph! *confuses self....grins back at Sher*
If by killing one person (you would have to commit the act with your own hands) you could bring temporary (let us say several years) of peace to all of humanity, would you do it, and how would you determine your choice of ......victim....or savior, I suppose?
no. I don't love humanity enough.
However, if i could send us spiraling into an age of darkness... i very well might.
Choice of victim: whoever ticked me off.
Maybe someone who was terminally ill.
Situation: your arm was hacked off by something. You are patched up and alive - not going to bleed to death.
There is no food. You either eat your own flesh or die.
What do you do?
Yuck! Why ask these sort of questions??? Gross! I'd rather die... you'd die eating your own flesh anyway... might as well die whole in body! ;)
You are in a desert, starving and dehydrated. Your only source of food and water is from a chilli plant growing nearby...which is the hottest plant in the world. you've scoured around looking for roots and other edible plants, but find none, and you are getting desperate. Would you eat the hottest chilli in the world or die? Remember there's no water to quench the fire! :D
I'd probably eat the chili plant.
That's the most disgusting or worst tasting food you've ever eaten?
brr... tomatoes stuffed with other soggy vegetables, swimming in soggy vegetable juice.... ugh....
that was after tomato soup for starters... i really thought i wouldn't make it...
but by other peoples standards.. perhaps the rat i had once (which i thought was pretty good actually)
How do you react, when you just know the whole world is trying to give you the finger? ('scuse me, bad day)
