I really loved this movie. But then again, I like all of M. Night Shymallan's movies...they give something to people that they are not expecting. There is only one thing I would have added to the movie...but for those who have not seen it, I will not spoil it.
shes the man..and utter abysmal failure of a production..there were some good parts but most of it was horrible

I liked the plot and the "real" music (the piano stuff)...but they could've done without the singing, and various other things.
I am dying to see that....theatres are a rarity for me, though, so it will be a while. The fantasy and mythical aspects of it appeal so much to me....I've always wished I was a dryad or a water nymph :nod: Anyway, I am glad someone liked it because, contrary to my expectations, reviews haven't been very favorable so far.Quote:

Wow....I hadn't watched it before, and I had just bought it and was ready to watch it last night. Than I had a few drinks and decided not to watch, I wouldn't be able to pay attention, but I tried anyways, and I think, that's exactly how it should be watched. In fact at about 3:30 am when the movie finished, I cracked one more and started the movie over again.
Simply amazing, near perfect acting by the two leads. Extremely funny scenes, very well put together. I've never read the book so I cannot compare. As a standalone movie though, it was fantastic.

Hey Vintage - I always tend to fall in love with the movies that get bad reviews.
Ushpizin -- totally character film, no shoot-em-up car chases. Endearing and memorable. It fully earned the awards it has accumulated.
But it's on the quiet, sensitive side so if you need action every three minutes, forget about it.
The Benchwarmers--So bad as to be unratable; don't waste your money unless you are a fan of mindless stupidity, bad jokes, and rambling, incomprehensible plotlines. A totally unbelievable script.

Pirates of the carribean (err 2) actually thats not true I just watched herbie fully loaded with my yougest sisters but that doesnt count does it??
Great film my only objection is that it isnt a stand alone its so obvioiiusly got to have a follow up that its a bit annoying other than that great.
Does anyone esle feel we are begining to get immune to the graphics? Im sure at times I could almost see the green screen it was like watching those old films with the painted background??

I watched CryWolf and liked it. The hero was good-looking but not really a very good actor. But I loved the ending, it was shocking so I will give it 7/10.
Bubba Ho-Tep. Talk about original! An old guy in a retirement home who may or may not be Elvis teams up with a black JFK to fight a mummy that is stealing souls. Very funny, and very poignant. 9/10.
I watched Woody Allen's "Scoop". It was pretty funny although I liked "Matchpoint" much more
Yesterday, I watched The Cider House Rules. Without any doubt, it was a wonderful movie. It deserves 10/10!
