1. At 18, I took a class in Strategy and Tactics in Modern Warfare. It was pass/fail. With a final exam in the field. With live ammunition. This kept me out of medical school later, as their system counted pass as a 'C'.
2. In a preliminary to the U.S. Chess Championship, I beat the winner of the next cycle in a thrilling five hour match. He won the next U.S. Championship with 13 wins and one draw.
3. One of the strippers living with me at the time fell in love with a customer on her first day of work at the time. She moved in with him shortly after.
