Interesting question, difficult answer. What I can say with certainty is that today I am much less concentration when I read and I avoid very long articles.

More writing and chess... there's local interest in a chess club again, the last dissolving about 7-months ago... hopeful it will get off the ground. Maybe stop my many years procrastination and self publish. Travel doesn't look like it's in the cards but I'm going to get my first passport now that I have a legal birth certificate.

Emeralds and other crystals :) Christie's is a bit out of my league (well, emeralds too). My daughter and grandchildren use to come up with some fine quartz crystals on our property :) There are many haunts in California and Nevada that allow gem hunting for finer crystals.

I have an old Konica C35 and ancient Kodak box camera that I haven't used in years... so, I use my cell phone camera exclusively (I don't use my smart tablets' camera either... maybe once or twice)

Me the same. Just cellphone camera. Kodak is a thing of the past.

Carnival or Halloween?

Halloween... we just don't seem to have the Carnival spirit, to the extent of Brazil & New Orleans, for some reason in our neck of the woods; perhaps more staid due to Easter preparations... dunno.

Cooking oil: Lard, Crisco, sunflower seed, avocado, Olive, or other ?

Don't have much of a Carneval spirit myself. Love the folcloric parts though.

Don't know most of these only Olive.. We use soya oil and mais oil, sunflower and coconut.
Milk: thick, thin, lactose free, vegan milk?

If I must drink cows milk it's 2%; usually Almond milk: I bought some the other day with a refrigerated shelf life till May 2026 :)
