Seeing the first red-winged blackbirds of the season on our evening walk. I told my daughter that they "bring spring with them". And when she heard their calls in the birch trees, she said, "Dad! The red wings are here and they brought spring with them! See (points to the sun)."

I enjoyed making progress with a project I had been neglecting for couple of weeks.

Fish (sea bass or gilthead sea bream) and/with Turkish Raki.

Danish version of Frankenstein. How is it even possible to kill language in that manner.
Dream job?
Seriously, I pretty much have it. I'm an English professor at a small, rural, community college in a tourist town that attracts visitors for its natural beauty. I can't think of anything I'd rather be doing, well, except eating a chocolate pastry right about now. That would be yummy.
What's that one book that you want to read, but you just keep putting off for "later"?
Ulysses. I started it long ago, but just keep putting it off, hoping to have more time to actually read it... but then I find something else and become engrossed in it instead.
What is one of your unfulfilled dreams?
I always wanted to be a fighter pilot... never happened.
If you were going to die in the morning, what would you do between now and then?
Ride my horses, listen to some incredible music, and spend time with my family and friends
