why is it when you only have four hours to sleep you spend three of that looking at the clock, thinking about how little time you have to sleep, and wondering why you cant fall asleep?
I don't know, but I have to get up and go clean out cat cages in three hours. Fortunately I got my four hours' sleep this evening, so I can't sleep now but will be too groggy to do an efficient job of scrubbing dirty litter boxes.
I got a very pleasant ten hours of sleep.
Drat you to Hades, Simon. :p I've been taking Ambien since September, to go with the antidepressant, but it isn't meant to be taken long-term, so it has ceased to work. I recall the doc saying when that happens he'll prescribe Halcyon, so hopefully I'll be getting more sleep in June. :p
My bouts of sleeplessness always end of their own accord. Are those drugs like sleeping pills?

Is it ok to sleep 12 hours and to stay awake for 14-16 hours? 24 hours is just too little time.
I think the time has come when we're all at a loss of words!
CK, I have about a 30 hour sleep cycle. 20 hours awake, 10 hours asleep. That's why I keep going in circles, going to bed later and later until it comes back to the beginning.
random thought: bridges over troubled waters should have been built by better engineers.
Of course those engineers should have compensated for mother natures disastrous mood swings such as bridge destroying floods.
Why do people keep putting the phrase "random thought" before they write their actual random thoughts? We all know this is the random thought thread!
