Wow Sweets! You have a delicate touch. Did you sharpen your pencil or switch gauges while working on the first portrait?
Thanks Kiz! I would just need time to draw more. Ah, drawing/painting is soooo relaxing, I love it.
NickAdams, thanks! I always work with only one pencil, and then I use my fingers too, in order to make the shadows and such. I need to wash my hands a lot in the end. :p I am not sure that answers your question though, because I am not sure of what 'gauge' means in this context.
Sleepy, this is a nice comment. Who knows, maybe the fountain you saw was this one? I have thought again about the legend attached to it, and I think it was about 'healing' blindness.
Hmm, having a real down day my friend called to comfort, after the standard "what do you call a sheep with no legs joke" (cloud is the answer, and always makes me smile) He told me to start drawing something. I drew the girl first, deliberatly unproportionate, then having cheered up, did the second one, which is more realistic. I love working in pen, and i appologise the poor rendition.

Sweets America, I love your portraits, you did an amazing job. And you painting is nice as well. Keep drawing!
Reccura, I just saw a drawing (Actually I think it was a painting...) that looked almost exactly like the one of you and your mother at my school in my art class! It's like deja vu. Anyways, it's beautiful.I really like it.
My recent drawings:
I drew this in class and was amazed- I've never drawn a portrait as well as this before and then went home and decided to try and paint it, the product is below it.

This one didn't turn out as well as I hope-

Another portrait I did in the middle of a class today-

Again- I drew this in class, I was bored and so I opened up my textbook and drew the first person I saw:

A study of hands, I did not do in class, lol:

Wow, SweetsAmerica, you're so good!!! I envy you...
You too, AdoreroDio... keep it up! :D
And Recurra... I wonder, which newspaper was that? Maybe I could try sending some of my best artworks there too.
Goodness, you make me insecure! Right now I'm having second thoughts on whether I should post another MCsR of mine or not...:)

All four are apx A4 in size, but here's to saving space, charcoal study of my own hand, made to look like a workers hand. (I was working with the theme of heroic realism)
Sweets and Chava, those are simply amazing. They're so realistic.
And I love Pendragon's surreal work. :D I love surrealism.
Here's one I did today:

I got new DEVO, a new sketchbook, and a new artist's anatomy book, so that was bound to happen.
Thanks Lily.:)
Eheheheh, your drawing is cool!!!! This si so you!! :D :)
Here are two other kinds of things from me: two cartoons I had made about me and my former boyfriend.
We had fun about his 'gayness' :D

and here is a cartoon I sent him when he was sick. I thought it would make him feel better. :D I thought I could be his nurse. :D

Okay, here are three drawings.
The first 2 were completed at the age of 11 (so excuse me if they're terrible).
The 3rd about... 2 years ago.

Glad you like it that much! :D I had fun drawing those. :D
You like shocking things, eheheh. :p
Here is another one of my cartoons. It was about when my ex-boyfriend had gone to Hawaii with his agency to teach in seminars. (Robertson is his name). I had fun making that one too. I hope you can read the bubbles. :D

Ha ha, that's cute!
Was that done in MS paint? Amazing! It's so hard to draw on the computer.
Thanks.:p
Well no, actually for cartoons I start to draw everything by hand, and once it is done, I scan the image and add the colors with paint on the computer. So I don't draw it in paint directly. It would be way too difficult for me. :p
Glad you like it, Lily.
Rockitcza, I sent it in (ehem) a Children's *cough*section in Philippine Star, every Saturday. I dunno where else to send it so...
Adorero Dio, thanks so much for the compliment!! I really wanna get my hands on paint...
And I haven't been drawing for the last few months. I think I've lost it... :bawling:
AdoreroDio, your drawings are great -- I love the study of hands (that is difficult to draw, I know!)
Chava, such detail, wow I love those hand drawings. :thumbs_up
Lily, loved your drawing, yes -- it really is 'so you'!
Sweets, your cartoons are excellent, the kind you see in magazines, wow!
LadyWYour work is amazing, well done!
Reccura, don't despair, it will come back -- maybe when you least expect it. Take care! :)
Hey, just a thanks for all your sweet compliments :)
And lily, i think your style is awesome :D
Oh, gosh, you guys... I try. Thanks. I recently actually got a "style" over the summer and I'm quite pleased with it. I'm really glad I can draw. I love it. I do it so frequently now. Before it was like, "yeah, I can draw a little" and I didn't draw often but now I draw everyday pretty much.
Hey guys. Just happened to be around, saw this thread just after being somewhat active in the "Deviant Litnetters" thread, and remembered I just uploaded a new (not really new, just as old as the first drawing I posted) Cs Romance to my deviantart and might as well post it here (though I'm not so sure what you'd think). :p I like emo cartoons so much, I thought I might do one of them and so I made a draft for a whole collection, and that became My [C]s Romance (a set of drawings chronicling the sweet, fun, romantic escapades of two cute emo characters--one of them is, well, a representation of me ;) and only you guys know that!--in a colorfu, surreal computer science class--as I described it on deviant). :p Sorry for being so persistent and...
Oh well, so here it is. Artificial Flowers. I find it rather sentimental and though it has nothing to do directly with me, being full of symbolisms and emotion, it happens to be my special favorite among all the drawings I did for the draft collection.
http://tn3-2.deviantart.com/fs24/300...ntic_error.jpg
If you ever happened to notice the smudged letters in the sign that says "Artificial Flowers," that's because I was working on this in the kitchen near the sink, and my dad accidentally splashed some water on it. At first I wanted to repeat it, but when I saw the final product I thought that the smudge somehow added up to the emoity.
Just saw this today. Hah, I knew it! :brow: I sometimes happen to get hold of that paper sometimes. So, how much did ya receive? Kidding!!!

I like the symbolism in that, Rocky. Your have a distinctive style, too.
Mind if I call you Rocky? :p
aww, thank you. Yup,emo cartooning. Thats what I'm into right now ;) got several other drawings in other styles too, I might post them here sometime.
Oh,btw, wouldnt really mind. (goodness, that so reminds me of this educational video I acted in when I was 6!) "Official" nickname's Kit,though. In real life too! :)
Kit i really like that.:thumbs_up
There really is talent here -- post more, guys, you rock! :thumbs_up
