I'm quite positive Sleepy has already mentioned Patrick Stewart, so I'm just adding my admiration for him to the pot, otherwise I've thought that Christopher Walken was something else ever since the Hallmark Hall of Fame movie, Sarah Plain and Tall. Other contenders for my fancy include, Colin Firth, and Joaquim Phoenix for some reason I can't put my finger on, maybe it's his imperfect perfection. I used to love Bill Pullman but I've forgotten about him in the last few years.

Peter Jackson performed quite a character assassination on poor Faramir but David Wenham did a good job with what he was given.Quote:

Ah, good ol' Jack Davenport. I have to say, I'm very impressed with his acting, and in the commentary on the Pirates DVD, he has quite a sense of humor. Very likable chap, and a good choice, Themis.
As I remember it, he was also in "The Libertine"; not a very big role, but he was decent as ever.

Idril, I tend to agree with you re:Faramir. It seemed in the movie he was mostly about trying to get his father's approval and feeling bad because Daddy didn't love him. :rolleyes:
Those things are important but the character was about more than that.
