I'm liking Spain's chances after seeing them trounce Ukraine.
Spain often plays well in the group stage, but somehow they always lose in the playoffs. Pity that England won against Trinidad- I was cheering for them and hoped that T&T will get a draw. Shame to England for such a perfomance!!
me too... i was hoping for a draw... T&T tried really hard and played so much better than England for most of the match...Quote:

English fans are cool.. they even clapped and cheered when T&T were close to scoring... that's what i call fair play... lots of German fans hiss and shout insults when the other team scores...
there was a T&T carneval in town. there's a slideshow on the net. click "Link zur Diashow" to see the pics. in the pop up window you can also click under "Alle vorhandenen Diashows" to see pics of other world cup events in Nuremberg

Impressive match by Argentina! Serbia clearly was very poor but 6-0!! That says something. It was good to see Messi play. :)
Man, I haven't seen such an impressive Argentine team since the first games of 1994 World Cup with Maradona. I'm really looking forward to Argentine-Netherlands game.
HOLLAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We're lucky bastards! :D But we won despite playing extremely poor!
Van Persie is the man! :)
It looks like Holland will have a very difficult game with Argentina
No kidding! They can win this time, next time we will devour them
Or so I hope :)
This **** happened in 1988 when USSR beat Holland in group, but lost in the final when van Basten scored his unbelievable goal to DasaevQuote:

Go Ghana!!! Now the situation in this group is very interesting
It would be funny if France won't advanve to playoff. they certainly don't desreve it. Saudi Arabia is extremely weak. 0-4 with Ukraine. If Spain will put their first 11 with them, it would be an interesting game. On the last World Cup it was 0-8 with germany if I'm not mistaken
Seems that the two most sportive guys in the forum are monopolizing this thread lol . let me tell you this :
My fiance is a big fan of football and I am not! In these days we have a deal that each one should try what the other like! So I started watching with him the matches. It turns to be fun and I turned to be a better fan than he is! Well , we women get into the mood , I mean I shouted with the goals and went overemotional with the match. If I were him I would regret the deal lol.
