What is the topic of your essay? You need to develop your thesis in the first sentence, is it about Josef Stalin, or about symbolism in 1984. I think you should address this in the first paragraph, and then expound on your reasoning.

Napoleon symbolises (represents, inferrs...) as opposed to "plays". Were the other animals slaves? subjugates? or sbmissives?

Your sentence referring to Stalin's birth date is a fragment. You can remove the comma and add 'was' or remove "." and write into following sentence about parent i.e. Josef Stalin, born xxxx, grew up in a poor family of freed serfs. You can reduce your wordiness and excessive info.

It would be plagiarism if you use portions of the essay without noting. Saying something someone else wrote is your original writing. Its often very easy to spot, because of wording, vocabulary, and concise phrasing that would not be found in other parts of the writing.
