hmmm....I dont believe in marriage (imo just a useless piece of paper), but if I cared for the other person strongly I would likely tell my family in no uncertain terms where they could go.

My parents are total hippies. . .I don't think there could be anyone short of a serial murderer or a drug addict that my parents would object to. But, if they did have objections, and if they did decide to share them, I don't think I'd listen. I'm awfully stubborn.
Would you marry someone if their parents didn't like you?
If we lived on the other side of the world from his family, yes. Otherwise, NO....I've seen enough people whose lives are miserable because of conflicts...

heh, well, considering I am not really sure where I stand with my boyfriends parents half the time, that's an interesting question. How about I tell you if he ever proposes and I say yes? Okay, seriously, I think I would marry him, so I suppose the answer is yes... If I ever figure his parents out...
haha, after that, same question.

Not really, i think ur in-laws make a lot of difference...though i might reconsider my answer if the guy 1) loves me...2)is irresistably dashing ;)...then i think i'll wait and try to make them like me!
In a very hypothetical situation of marriage, and if my fiancée and I seemed ready for marriage, yes, I would marry someone even if her parents disliked me. Surely, there must exist some sort of compromise of tolerance and acceptance that even though their daughter loves me does not mean they must. :rolleyes:Quote:

If I'd do that, be sure that I'd fail simply because it is not my choice. I lost four years of my existance in doing something my family thought fit to me. Better choos your oun path.
BTW and just a peace of advice to your friend mono, tell him/her better choose his/her way him/herself because it's his/her life and it's up to him/her alone to bear its choice conciquance"s, whether bad or good. His/her parents wont live in his/her place or study in his/her place, so they have no right to choose in his/her place. They even don't know what he/she is cappable of.
Would you fight for a lost cose?
I would, if all was lost. Depends on the situation--if it mattered enough to me, certainly. Otherwise, perhaps compromise (or, like the Coveys would prefer, synergy) would be a better option.
If you had superpowers, would you be a Hero?
Only if I was forced to :D

Horo = lots of trubles. I'd preffer to be a commen man and live in peace rather than trying to solve other's problems. I thinl I have enough problems to deal with.
Would you starve for a week in protestation of a regime or somthing else?
No I would not, we who are lucky enough to have food should never throw good food away. It would be like cutting off your nose to spite your face whats to stop the regiem from going :p starve to death for all we care?
Would you join in my live christmas read ( yes I know shamless advertising)
