Hi Barbara! Welcome to the forum.
Unfortunatly, I cannot be of much assistence, always having loved reading. But I shall think about it. However, Tom Sawyer and Anne Frank are both interesting books which could easily be enjoyed.
Hi Barbara. . .welcome! I'm sure you will find plenty of help and support here in finding ways to make the Diary and Tom Sawyer interesting. :)
Hi Barbara! Welcome to the forum! I have not read Diary Of Ann Frank but I have read Adventures of Tom Sawyer and loved it!
You should read Diary of Anne Frank Pensy. I read it this year and found it a very good book.
I will try, I always thought about reading it but then again I would start something else....this is my problem. I intent to read some book, but read the other one which I have not intended. *confused*Quote:

Welcome to lit net Pendragon. :D I think you will like it here.
In all seriousness, how are you my friend? Yes I know we have lost a few friends.
 Welcome Pen!
I would have you know that I think of you as a friend, and hope you do not leave any time soon. :D
@Pensy- Poor pensy. I hope you will stop being confused soon. :D
I'm Jim and it's nice to meet you all. I truly believe that there is nothing better than a rainy day and a cup of tea and a cat in your lap and a good book. I found this site while researching a quote from R. D. Laing, from The Politics Of Experience. It's here and I recommend it highly. The man has a genuinely beautiful mind.
The other reason I'm here flabberdegazzing at you is that there was an argument in progress upon which I stumbled, and to my shame I do not remember who was involved, but it was about the impossibility of God creating itself, and I thought that this utterly misses the point: which is that either God exists or it doesn't, and if it does, this could be a problem. I do not understand why it is anathema to the mind that God might be a few beads short of a rosary. Those who believe that there is some sort of a something or other out there tend to assume that that something is sane. I offer the evidence of the world as it is in refutation. I believe that God exists and I fear deeply that God is a squirrel that can't find its nuts.
Welcome to LitNet Jim :) yup, books and cats are good!
I think this is the topic you are referring to?
