My wife has COVID-19 and I have been exposed. I'm feeling fine, hoping my vax from September/October last year helps. My wife and her sister did not get vaxed... my wife has just come down with symptoms, but her sister has been very sick since last Friday... the irony is my wife saw the doctor today, but my sister-in-law hasn't seen a doctor yet. I'll miss the poetry reading/social this Friday :( ... and everything else for a while I guess. COVID-19: The gift that just keeps giving. Prayers please.

Oh, so sorry! Going to pray for your wife and your sister in love. Hope they get better soon. On forgets to take the shots these days because never one does anymore, but they are very important. I hope you stay well. You do well to stay away from meeting other people. Do you have the possibility of online meetings.

No one does online meetings here anymore... just going to hunker down with Tinky and hope the Zicam I started yesterday as a prophylactic will help with my almost year-old vax... good time to write poetry :)

How are you all today?

Just woke up after the crack of noon... fuzzy headed and the body aches have started. Had a coughing fit before bed which is new. Have my taste and smell still (just took a Zicam which is just for cold symptoms but the gummies are yummy; they smell not too unpleasant). My wife called just after I took the "Do Not Disturb" function off my cell phone trying to get something coherent out of me... they are/are not going to get prescriptions that are ready (I have some Metformin ready) and what am I doing?... still fuzzy headed but I'm in better shape than my wife and her sister... I may go out if they decide not to, maybe find a place that can give me a booster (will have to call around... no COVID protocol in place that I know of). Read yesterday that the most popular COVID strain currently has a side effect of "razor blade" throat... eeesh (just added eeesh to my Dictionary). I see them circling, them

Don't take any medicine, it's not a cold you have got. Drink much water. What I remember is that the great danger is if the illness atacks the lungs and breathing becomes more difficult. Try eating as well as possible even if you don't feel like it. I hope there is someone to take you to hospital if necessary. But I hope you will all be well in a few days. Keep me updated!

When I thought it might be a cold that was going around the Zicam seemed prudent, though expensive. I've since read that zinc may be helpful with COVID duration, studies are a bit murky though, and Zicam is full of it. Waiting to see if my provider okays some Paxlovid for me and if it's covered by insurance, but I will be driving to get prescriptions anyway whether or no. Updates will follow :)

Don't know any of these medicines, but selfmedication can be very dangerous in cases of serious deasises. Is this provider a sort of doctor at a distance?
Two things occur to me: certain medicines inhibit certain symptoms but don't cure the illness. Respiratory illnesses usually follow a cycles of days, but if you have breathing difficulties you must see the doctor.

The Paxlovid interacts with my meds so another was ordered... now on backorder though (kind'a defeats the purpose).
Is someone orienting you about the medicin?
