ive heard said that philosophy is the parent discipline of psychology. I like them both and have taught slices of both, but im wishing the world were better versed on philosophy, so lets go with that one.

do you want to go back and forth between the top and bottom parts of the bracket and move through them equally, or stay on the top to find the first finalist and then go to the bottom half?

I love the antics of our Woodpeckers here in the Gold Country, Garden Valley... arguing/chattering vociferously amongst themselves... then doing their signature wood pecking everywhere. An amusing thing a number of years ago happened when one Woodpecker attacked a steel gate with its staccato freneticism :)
That being said the stately Robin stirs my soul with its birdsong :)... So, both I guess.
Sloth: 2-toed or 3-toed ?
danik, yesterday I rescued a fledgling robin from spritzers clutches. on the ground, couldn't fly yet, and thankfully, seemingly, no harm and I was able to put him back into a nest. later when I checked he was gone, so I don't know if he got his wings underneath him or if he was back on the ground and poof got him. I lean towards the former.
everyone knows that the two toed sloths are even slower than the three toed sloths and so must be more essentially "sloth" than their three toed sloth kin. so we have to go with two toed. I didn't even know there was such a thing!
