I think cats like stability. If the family comes and goes it becomes difficult for Poof to attach herself.Anyway she found your house and there she has the challenge to "chase away that darned cat that is occupying MY place. Having a sibling doesn't mean that she is attached to her. To make her stay at home there must be something more attractive there for her than at your house. This lady is very stubborn.
I don't promise to read it as I have readings to do for my other forum, but I might comment according to memory as I did with Gone with the Wind and occasionally read a passage or another. Is there any work you have in mind?

The problem is, Bounty, I've become a very slow reader. 50 years ago I would read a Dickens' volume in a week. But what we could do:You suggest a book and we get along with it. From the less known, ones those that I liked best are: A Tale in Two Cities, Nicholas Nickleby, Bleak House, Little Dorrit.

i doubt im going to do a dickens danik---im spending so much time with fantasy cycling these days that im really enjoying light or short reads but if I get a hankering that way again, i'll be sure to let you know.
heck tailor, I used to have the Einstein poster that said "imagination is more important than knowledge." probably taken out of context but lets go with it anyways---assuming at least "good" knowledge though. I wouldn't want to have great imagination if I didn't know anything. heck would that even be possible? I mean, being able to imagine things without knowing things?
