Spring is for flowers (my lilacs are blooming... but sad to say a landscape helper hired out by my daughter inadvertently has finished off my two fig trees and one of my plots of periwinkles... make that all my periwinkles :( )
Fall: late summer or early winter ?
Sad! Seems to be rather a landscape destroyer.
Differences here are not so marked I guess as in the Northern Hemisphere. I like best the time we are starting to get now: milder temperatures , blue heaven and a friendly warm sun. But this year we are getting an uncommon quantity of rain.

danik the book im reading by louis l'amour is called "shalako" and there is a movie version of it also---and sean connery plays the lead. nothing says "western" like James bond with a Scottish accent! I like the movie, but the casting is terrible!

danik, beavers are super cute and super destructive. the little batch of them that I had here some years ago chewed down hundreds of trees before I was able to chase them off.
oh and here, you will like this---yesterday I found spritzer on my garage roof! i don't know if poof chased her there or if she was just curious and exploring.
i went to see the movie peter pan when i was in college, loved it, and it might be my favorite Disney movie.
ah, finally an easy one! as you might remember danik, i really enjoyed gone with the wind while i view catcher in the rye with the same disdain i hold moby dick!

poof was on my front porch when I found spritzer on the garage roof. yesterday poof whapped at her with her claws out. today I went to let spritzer out and she saw poof on the front porch and turned right around and went back into the house.

bread is one of my favorite things---youd think id try to make it at home but I never have. maybe this is a prompt, but in the meantime, i'll go with store bought. its been awhile since ive bought it but aldi has a seven grain bread that's just wonderful. and I love potato bread too. and I love how I didn't like rye or pumpernickel when I was a kid but now I do.

Bounty, Poof see5 still determined to chase Spritzer away. She is actually behaving as if she were the lady of the house and Spritzer the intruder. Problem is she can hurt the other cat with her claws. The positive thing is that Spritzer avoids her.
