soup or salad?
Interesting, cheiro-verde... I'm only acquainted with the tomato based condiment: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salsa_(food) which can be mild (my preference) to hot and sometimes smokey.
A nice creamed soup would be my choice :)
celery or carrots ?
Carrots anytime! I eat them almost daily!
Card games or chess?
Chess... though I'm in a rut :)
Origami or bonsai ?
Love origami, specially tsurus! Don´t like bonsais. It is as if someone had dwarfed plants to make them look cute.
I love both bonsai and origami... looked up tsurus: delightful :)
Kimono or Kilt ?
By the heat 35C expected a very light Kimono
Turkey or Codfish for Christmas?
Whoa... 95° F
Turkey is the go to Christmas meal, with an occasional ham or prime rib in my experience ... never considered fish of any sort... hmmm
Pizza or calzone ?
Also turkey for many people, if there are few chicken or ham or Chester, usually garnished with a mix of fresh and canned fruit "California " style. Some people prefer cod fish, a Portuguese inheritance, but I don't.
Both, but Calzone is too big, so pizza.
Pizza as a salt dish or pizza as dessert?
Pizza as a main dish (three meals in a role :) )
pizza or lasagna ?
Love lasagna, so lasagna!
traditional lasagna or vegetarian lasagna?
im a vegetarian danik so that ones a no-brainer for me.
blackberry vs strawberry
(lasagna: both are yummy but I prefer traditional)
blackberry :)
blackberry or raspberry ?
Blackberry
Oranges or plums?
Oranges :)
White chocolate or dark chocolate ?
Dark chocolate!
Cold weather or heat?
Cold... as long as there's no snow: less expensive power bills.
George Sand or Ernest Hemmingway ?
Less expensive power bills in winter? Shouldn´t it be the opposite? More hot baths, for example. Room heating is here electric too, but I know you use the wood stove.
Ernest Hemingway, but I have read very little by George Sand.
R. Tagore or Rumi?
Heating with a wood stove is much less expensive than running an air conditioner/swamp cooler.
Hmmm... Here's a poem we have read by Tagore in the Alphabetic First Lines Poetry Game http://famouspoetsandpoems.com/poets...ore/poems/2297
and one by Rumi https://allpoetry.com/Book1-Prologue
Granted this is a minute sampling AND we are dealing with translations, but, a slight nod to Rumi.
Literature: Hugo or Dickens ?
When I lived in the mountains the wood stove was only lit in certain occasions. For cooking we used the gas stove.
Dickens was during many years my favorite author. So it has to be him.
Limerick or haiku?
haiku :)
EA Poe or ee cummings ?
oh heck tailor, how did I end up with a poetry choice! ack!
laughs...
i'll have to go with poe because who has not pondered on a midnight dark and dreary, qouth the raven nevermore.
whats your favorite cummings poem though? id be happy to give it a looksee.
cranberry vs lemon
Cramberry! I like the taste and they are fine for kidney health.
Melon or watermelon?
I peeked back in danik to give you a cat update---spritzers sitting on my lap and poof came up for some attention. they were pretty close to each other and I was petting them both. spritzer didn't flee and poof didn't act aggressive. so that's good news.
I like drinks that have cranberry in them, but now that I say that, same with lemon.
watermelon, a top three favorite fruit for sure.
😀😀😀😻😻
My favorite ee cummings poem: https://www.shmoop.com/study-guides/...poem-text.html includes a forward and analysis if one chooses to peruse (click) :)
yesterday danik I was riding my bike indoors, watching a tv show (star trek:picard) and I got a little energy crash, I stopped and ate a whole bag of "craisins" which are just dried cranberries in the same fashion as raisins, along with lots of peanut butter.
thanks tailor, I read it, and came away with a sense I do with a lot of poetry---that I wish I were sitting in an English class so the teacher could tell me what the heck im reading!
cranberry vs lemon again.
Lol, ee isn't the easiest poet to read/analyze by a far stretch.
Love craisins... so cranberry it is :)
craisins or pistachios ?
Love craisans!
Here you have an analysis of the poem "anyone lived in how town". Tailor and me frequently read an analysis to better understand the more critical poems.
https://www.litcharts.com/poetry/e-e...retty-how-town
Simultaneous posting? Pistachios.
Blue or yellow?
Wonderful summary :)
Blue (Da Ba Dee) :)
Green (as lush grass) or Red (not the orangy red - true red)
Green the color of hope
mountain or beach for holidays?
:)
Beach, beach, beach, beach....
Same question :) ?
Mountain, mountain, mountain, beach.
Poems or games on line?
Poems/poetry mostly (the online "Rhyme Desk" I use is all but broken though :( )... balanced with chess lessons and the occasional "Hangman" word game other than the LitNet diversions... not a "gamer" in the current sense.
Sunrise or Sunset ? (we have a sunrise!)
Both, but sunsets are easier to watch from my apartment windows.
Christmas or New Year?
Christmas! :)
Dining out or dining in ?
Dining out. But not on Christmas. Christmas activities are almost over ( dancing with gym group; Christmas lunch with gym class). Christmas itself going to be quiet.
loud New Year celebrations or quiet?
Very quiet... watching the countdown on local telly alone with a bottle of Martinelli's sparkling cider...
Stargazing or watching clouds ?
Spending it alone too, but no cat and no cider. Does your church celebrate Christmas?
I prefer stargazing, but that's difficult from rather small apartment windows. Watching clouds however has become mandatory because of the ever changing weather.
peaches or plums?
Christmas... absolutely; our Christmas program is this Sunday (I'm singing in the choir and facilitating an audio visual presentation :) )... we celebrate the Savior's birth on December 25th like other Christian faiths (our church's official name is: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints).
Tough, tough choice... for eating fresh: a large ripe black plum (but ask me another time and it might be a big juicy peach); for eating cooked it's a tie: Peach pie or Plum Duff ( https://greatbritishpuddings.com/swe...ipes/plum-duff )... so plum :)
Star Trek or Star Wars ?
