Log of the Ghost of The Dastardly VI
(Blast me if I call a ship by a changed name—‘tis bad luck!)
(From papers discovered inside an empty cask)
Now I heard them talking above me and slipped up for a look,
They be trying an exorcism, no less! “Avaunt spirit, be gone!” and like so.
Why, I were a good Anglican in my time and lived by the book—
And 'twere nay fault o' mine that that pirate ran me through back to fo'.
Nay, I like my bunk here, and here will I stay if I wish.
This Jay has even took up with a cold dragon, who may see me.
I made them my friends long ago when I slept with the fish,
And a dragon a friend for eternity ever will be.
In the night I have passed among the crew and I wish them no harm,
But they are not my crew, Cap'n Stan and the rest.
Were I still the man Arrow, what could I do? Nay cause for alarm.
But a ghost I be now, and my full power I have yet to test.
Hee-hee. Jay knows not that her dragon and I can converse.
The two of us are a power. But below in the sea lies far worse—
