Ah, found it.
It was on our desk.
team go go cart hasn't persuaded anyone yet.
T..'s 4-year old was very protective of me yesterday and bawled his heart out when i had to take the train. once during the day i couldn't find the cue ball and he demanded to know where were my glasses (i never wear them), then instructed grandma to "find asha's glasses." later he went inside and told me to wait for him; he'd be back, and i'd be fine "you'll be okay; i'll be right back." the kicker was that he informed me just before we parted that "You're my son." was i every surprised! no wonder we have such a love and he tries to baby me! :) :)
I'm back from holidays in Greece. No computer for 16 days!!! :goof: Anyhow, hello again :p
Argh, so jealous that you visited Greece - only another dream vacation of mine! :DQuote:

Thanks mono :D And yeah, if you ever have a chance of visiting Greece, go there. A beautiful country, with a lot of things to see. And you can follow Lord Byron's route as well :p
:p :p Kids are so funny. You should see my 4-year old brother - he is absolutely crazy about the colour pink now. So everything is pink: his clothes, his toys.. even his nails. Imagine this robust, energetic 4-year old boy with painted pink fingernails. 4-year olds.. who really understands them? :goof:Quote:

This morning, by mere chance, I happened to watch Caveman on television, a ridiculously (but funny) movie starring Ringo Starr and Dennis Quaid, which I had not seen since childhood. While watching the cast at the end, whose name do I see but John Matuszak as one of the villains - the same man who played Sloth in another of my favorite childhood movies, The Goonies.
Unfortunately, after looking up his name at a popular movie website (http://www.imdb.com/), I saw that he died in 1989. He seemed well known as Sloth in The Goonies with the revolutionized phrase, "Hey, you guys!" I had never known what he even looked like, and, obviously, he underwent quite a transformation through make-up and cosmetics for his role; sad, however, when some actors and actresses get fixated in one role, while their other works (and death) get somewhat ignored.

For Bridget Jones' Diary fans: Helen Fielding is writing her weekly diary again.
so, what??? i think that they have to encourage the dog named entourage to do his weekly collage so he can graduate from college life, will draw the crouds, my hopes are so high that a kiss might kill me, so won't you listen to crappy emo?
The Book Club is reading Three Men in a Boat and Three Men on the Bummel by Jerome K. Jerome this month.
Bummer, Bummell, what a bungle of a bungalow, they lay low the law in larry the llama's literature likeness.
Was a bit ill this morning.
Luckily it has passed by now.
Understood it when we felt very weak after chopping only seven logs. We had chopped wood for the last week and was not so tired then.
ugh!! I knew it would happen, the odds were against me. At some point I knew I would get a clinker of a boss. My current boss is the epitome of corporateness. She wants to have meetings for everything. This morning we didn't need to talk about how to complete my current assignment (an hour and a half conversation), she needed to give me the hour and a half to complete the assignment!!!
something i've forgotten.
WhenI was on the plane yesterday the movie was Be cool- anyway I "discoovered" aerosmith their ghood when I said this my sister was strucken dumb and sort of looked at me and said "where have you been they are ancient"
but that wasnt my real random thought that was there is this song it was in the film I really liked it yesterday but cant think what the woordss are today andI dont know who sang it!!
.........punctuation..........ahhh.......I miss it so........
When younger siblings do this, Nightshade, it drives me crazy! I love a lot of bands like Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Bob Dylan (who I actually listen to presently), Jimi Hendrix, and others from generations before me; the same seems to go with older movies. Depressingly, when with my younger brother, it seems when I insist on watching a movie filmed before about 1990, he calls it "old and boring." Of course, many older films will never have as much color or special effects than modern movies, but, I think, they tend to compensate with a better plot in most cases (such as one of my favorite movies, Ikiru, a Japanese film made in 1952).Quote:

What do you think is behind ths picture? The title is "Early Snow" It nags us.
A theory we have is that the snow came early and thus the crop failed. There is not enough food and she is playing with the dagger, thinking of killing herself because there is no hope left.
But it doesn't fit with all the details. Her clothes are elegant and costly, she looks like a noble and these don't usually starve. We think that the title is methaphorical too, but cannot grasp, what it is.
Wow, some of the things that happen in my neighborhood!
A few weeks ago, I think in this thread, I mentioned a car collision I witnessed, since my bedroom window overlooks a very busy intersection. Early this morning (about 5:30 am), I heard a very similar screech and crash, looked out my window, and saw a large van that hit a sign on the side of the already busy road, but someone ran from the van. This time I felt lazy, and did not want to call 911 like last time, especially since I already saw a nearby pedestrian dialing something quickly on his cell phone, and speaking loudly to, who I could think, a dispatcher. Well, I went back to sleep to the sound of sirens and a tow-truck, carrying away the van.
Later this morning, I had to take out the garbage, and found myself approached by two police officers and their very large, very intimidating German Shephard search dog. The police asked me a few questions if I had seen anyone, witnessed the crash, etc. I told them no, that I only saw the crash. Apparently, the driver ran from the crash, into my apartment complex, leaving his two companions - why, I have no idea.
My neighborhood gets stranger and stranger everyday, especially considering the relatively low crime rate in Portland (as compared to other U.S. cities).

A very kind (and very attractive) optometrist made it official for me today - I need reading glasses. :eek2: All of these years of diligent, devoted reading and using of computers has finally caught up with my eyes, and I require only a small prescription.
Years ago, as I child, I remember teasing a friend of mine who wore glasses, calling him "four eyes," and the like, as children do. What poetic justice enveloped in karma!
Sort of reminded of this fact by the return of Stanislaw---
3 months till the return of The Doctor  :D
I keep missing the Stargate atlantis episodes here :(
Oh in nine hours I get my A level results
No worries momo think glasses make people look smarter also you could get really freaky ones... I needed glasses to drive and I wanted ones like the director of lord of the rings( reeeeeally big circle ones) but I couldnt find any :bawling:
