I had a most delightful time, though my boyfriend got me tickets to Monster Trucks, as you must have understood by now he doesn't understand me. And it seems Linda went on a shopping spree, everyone got an expensive gift from her, you see. Financial crisis, what! Now I'm sure you know I'm not one to gossip, but after having seen her in the mall with such baggy eyes and arched shoulders I’ll set my magnificent yellow curls ablaze if she didn’t work overtime to keep up appearences, poor thing, with her husband drinking and everything, or so Molly said, she has a cousin who’s a bartender, and a cute one at that, and single, God knows why, studying to be a doctor he is, just say the word and I’ll set you up with him!

I got some new jeans. There's a store that's gone out of business here (another victim of the economy) and they've liquidated their inventory so I got a good deal on them. I didn't bother to try them on, because I already have a pair of them. The only difference between them is one pair is straight leg and the other is boot cut.
So I get my new ones home, and put them on and they look good. They're good-butt jeans, as opposed to dump-butt jeans or mom-butt jeans.
But, the zipper is broken and I can't take them back or exchange them because the store closed. It's a fluke thing - it's just the zipper on this one pair. I don't know how to sew that well, so I was wondering if I should take the jeans somewhere to get the zipper replaced...Like, maybe I could take them to a cleaner's - they might be able to do that....any other suggestions? They look really good on except for the broken fly.
How about a Tailor?
yeah a place that does aulterations should be able to replace the zip. thats what i do. mind you, i've a pair of jeans i was supposed to get the zip replaced on well over a year ago...

As for Shalot's jeans...I don't know if I would trust a cleaner to do repairs...I don't know if cleaners care that much. I've heard horror stories. I would think a tailor should be able to do it, as long as they have heavy enough machinery to work on denim.

And the secret to opening jam jars is a wooden spoon...Im serious you tap along the pressure points with a spoon ( I tend to do it in a triangle pattern) and the seal pops and then the jars is dead easy to open!! :D

yeah no cake! but i did go for dinner with my friends to Jimmy Chungs Chinese Buffet. Mind you there was an american wedding in there. really weird.
Oh well that sounds nice :). There was a wedding on at the beach when I was there with my friends on Saturday!! We were just like "Awwww" the whole time :p.
