A solemn building without allure
Made entirely
Out of seashells.
Majestic and mute
It stands on an island of clouds,
Alas!Soon the winds
will take it asunder.

today the ferryman
An entourage followed slowly
behind a hero's funerary bier
emerging from sunlit haunts
taking to torches in the misty
shadows along a fetid river
beneath great dank mossy trees
ahead a landing where a long punt
awaited with an impatient ferryman
veiled in a dark loose shroud
but before the hero is transferred
to the ferryman's guardianship
the boney hand of the ferryman
collects his fee then extends a
tablet asking for a gratuity as
the funerary party stares at sea

The Legend of the Willow and the Butterfly
In ancient times thousands of years ago
there was a willow.
It was a proud tree
with branches pointed skywards,
and roots solidly planted in the soil.
One day a bad with arrived
with her cauldron and requested
all the leaves of the willow for her magic.
Proud of its leaves the willow said "no"!
But it didnīt reckon with the power of the witch.
She stripped it of all its leaves
and cooked them with fruition
in her big cauldron.
The willow bend its head and wept copiously.
He wept so much that a forest fairy heard him
from the far side of the wood.
She came to its succor
and drove away the witch.
Out of the cauldron,
where the willow leaves had been cooking
there emerged the most beautiful butterfly.
It poised delicately on one of its bare branches
and lo, its leaves were back.
But its crown remained for ever bent,
its branches now point to the ground
the wiiiow leaves flowing down like a mass of hair.
And, when visited by the wind,
it weeps in memory of its early times.

At velocities once only a
god could conceive of
we travelled through one
of Andromeda's mysteries
the Tears of the Heliades
utilizing dark photons
in a goat of a starship
as starships went, traversing
an endless universe none
the worse by our presence

Take the magic book
Out of the dust
and the dusk
Let itīs pages
live again
is my refrain.
Teeming with ancient words.
of lays and lords.
Tributes of the astrologers
to the firmament.
Or they dive
into de depths of the oceans
after spellbound nautilus.

rhyme, deep within the Tornquist Sea soaring
lithe arthropodic OVNY beings - whilst conch-like
trumpets blast forth the music of the spheres
heralding kings and queens holding court, rapt,
spellbound - hearkening to the sage tidings
expressed by the brilliancy of celestial thought
- not unlike the sound of rushing waters

The house and the anvil
It existed for aeons
this mysterious house,
with its windows secured by transoms,
where the magic earrings where forged
and then shaped on the anvil.
The earrings got lost frequently:
they were stolen, scattered or reduced
to the metal that gave them their shape.
Also the anvil disappeared.
But the house still exists,
with its gables and transoms.
