er...no idea cos either way i'd made it sound wrong :D (and isn't is 'pyjamas'? or is there something I don't know here??? )
*oops everyday you learn something new... it's 'pyjamas' for us British... ;)
Anyway i guess the prononuciation of the a would strongly depend on the person and their origins...and I don't want to know how that 'dam' sounds... Thinking about it, I'd make it sound like the a in 'seance' but then I dont think I've heard it prononuced :D
