Today, I really need to know if the cup is half-empty or half-full. The problem is -- what if it's only 1/4 full? Or an 1/8? Is that the same as half-full? Is point really as long as there is something in the glass it isn't empty?

There's no point to worry about the amount unless it randomly goes down.
"Is the cup half full or half empty. I just want to know who's been drinking my beer."- My uncle is a genius.
And if the glass is empty, then what? Say, "well, at least I still have a glass?"
No find out who's been drinking your beer and whack them upside the head. Then refill the cup
Interesting philosophy, Mr. Bong-Bong. Quite astute for this hour of the morning.
Why thank you, ihrocks. I have a memory that remembers these random conversations with my uncle, and it turns out to be a good thing.

Yes, Scher showed a sample from Samuel Taylor Coleridge's famous work, for good reason, or "Kubla Khan." I find it a true work of poetic art, though many others, yet perhaps no one on the forum, would disagree.Quote:

The whole text:
Kubla Khan
In Xanadu did Kubla Khan
A stately pleasure-dome decree:
Where Alph, the sacred river, ran
Through caverns measureless to man
Down to a sunless sea.
So twice five miles of fertile ground
With walls and towers were girdled round:
And there were gardens bright with sinuous rills,
Where blossomed many an incense-bearing tree;
And here were forests ancient as the hills,
Enfolding sunny spots of greenery.
But oh! that deep romantic chasm which slanted
Down the green hill athwart a cedarn cover!
A savage place! as holy and enchanted
As e'er beneath a waning moon was haunted
By woman wailing for her demon-lover!
And from this chasm, with ceaseless turmoil seething,
As if this earth in fast thick pants were breathing,
A mighty fountain momently was forced:
Amid whose swift half-intermitted burst
Huge fragments vaulted like rebounding hail,
Or chaffy grain beneath the thresher's flail:
And 'mid these dancing rocks at once and ever
It flung up momently the sacred river.
Five miles meandering with a mazy motion
Through wood and dale the sacred river ran,
Then reached the caverns measureless to man,
And sank in tumult to a lifeless ocean:
And 'mid this tumult Kubla heard from far
Ancestral voices prophesying war!
The shadow of the dome of pleasure
Floated midway on the waves;
Where was heard the mingled measure
From the fountain and the caves.
It was a miracle of rare device,
A sunny pleasure-dome with caves of ice!
A damsel with a dulcimer
In a vision once I saw:
It was an Abyssinian maid,
And on her dulcimer she played,
Singing of Mount Abora.
Could I revive within me
Her symphony and song,
To such a deep delight 'twould win me
That with music loud and long
I would build that dome in air,
That sunny dome! those caves of ice!
And all who heard should see them there,
And all should cry, Beware! Beware!
His flashing eyes, his floating hair!
Weave a circle round him thrice,
And close your eyes with holy dread,
For he on honey-dew hath fed
And drunk the milk of Paradise.
I bought Clone Wars themed Risk...it's fun.
I've noticed that I've been so busy the last few days that I've had very few random thoughts...it's so unlike me! I must schedule in the time to be more random. :D
play some of my risk and it'll all come back
If a donkey needs to drink 30L of water every other day, and a donkey can travel 40km a day, and a donkey can carry 100kg of weight, and a 15kg jar can carry 25kg of water... how the heck is it possible for a train of donkeys to cross a 600km desert???
hitchhike
. . .
edit, a thought made it all the way up into my brain
1. are the donkeys on the train or does a 'train of donkeys' mean a bunch of donkeys going one after another
wow, another one
2. there are trains in deserts?
What's for dinner?
(the earlier in the day this thought crosses my mind, the more worried I get)
No food talking, hungry! Haven't had lunch yet, lol.
I like Scher's new siggy :p
The fight for Naboo was a fierce battle with the clones aiding the Gungan forces against the CIS. A squad of droidicas attcked with a barage of blaster fire that cut through their enemies like a hot knife in butter. With the clones stretched to the limit from the assault, super battle droids made a bold move to take the over the last strategic point the clones and Gungans fortified. The Gungans made a final assault against the droidicas because they were capping all of their allies. The attack, led by Jar Jar Binks, soured quickly when a rocket took out Jar Jar's right flank. The droids capitalized in a mechanized massacre. With the Gungan's weakening and the clones struggling, the droids took the hill. As unfortunate as it may seem the battle's turning point took place at that point. Massive explosives hidden under the hill went off, in turn taking out most of the left flank of the droids. With a rejuvenated spirit after the explosion, the remaining Gungan's struck the droids with all of the water balls that were left....
Are the droids finished or will the Clone army collapse?
Who cares?
ow that hurts bad...
Yeah well.
well that's not nice
