Byron or Shelley?

Dave Barry or Patrick F McManus?
Dave Barry (my kid brother likes him anyway, and that's good enough for me).
Baseball or basketball?
Basketball. Baseball bores me silly. Even when the White Sox were in the World Series, I still couldn't get into the games.
American football or everyone else's football?
Double
Everyone else's until the NFL allows biting.
Birds or fish as:

Thunderstorms or Snowstorms if you are in a log cabin with a lover?
Thunderstorms.
Revolver or Rubber Soul?
i grew up being a fan of the beatles, and have gotten to go to Liverpool a couple of times. i didn't have time to take in all the beatles sites i could have, but what little i did was enjoyable. i have a photo of a good friend posing with a statue of Eleanor rigby. i also had my bike, and all my gear, and all my clothes, stolen there. ack!
i also got tossed out of the abbey road studios in London when i ran in thinking it was a place that just any schmo might walk around.
very slight nod to rubber soul...
i think i asked this before---or something close to it.
early beatles or later beatles?
Bon Scott.
60's rock and roll or 70's rock and roll?
slight nod to the beatles...
i like them both, and that was the question in high school too, with friends on both sides.

First part of the original.
Exile on Main Street or Let It Bleed?
let it bleed (gimme shelter's one of my favorite stones pieces)
beatles breaking up when they did or a hypothetical beatles continuing well into the 70s?
All through the 70s, I wanted a reunion. I'm so glad now that it didn't happen. It was over when it was over. The Stones have been amazing to keep it going, though. Fred and Barney! (Sorry, old joke. :))
Sideshow Bob or Dr. Nick?
Sideshow Bob
Frasier or Niles?
Ah! Never seen the show, but I was once told that I reminded someone of Niles, so I will definitely say Frazier. :)

Sideshow Mel. And you really ought to see it, I think.
Chief Wiggum or Mayor Quimby?
So they tell me. :)
Mayah, ah, euh, Quimby. That's how they talk in my home state. Seriously.
Smithers or MacBain?
Smithers.
Dialogue driven literature or character/narrative driven literature?
I think you asked that last year. I forget what I said then, but I'll go with character now. But both are enjoyable in effective hands. Is this a question that you ask yourself much? I thought you were a poet.
Irish music or Jamaican music?
Biased again, Jamaican.
The Who or Boston?
The Who...Boston are partial proof of the Devil.
Kiss or Chesp Trick?

Paul Auster. Coetzee is a lovely writer but lacks Auster's experimental imagination.
DeLillo or Roth?

Modern Japanese literature or Latin American literature (20th & 21st century)?
I haven't read much modern Japanese literature unless Kazuo Ishiguru counts (which he doesn't really). I've read more Latin American lit, although not nearly enough. I really liked Mario Vargas Llosa's The War at the End of the World, though, which I read in January. So I'll fudge it and say Latin writers, although I really don't know.
Is it better to get married before you turn 30 or after?
Before thirty was fine for me
Same question.
I think generally people who get married later in life, are more likely to stay married but that doesn't mean to mean you don't get married at 26 if the right person comes along. this was actually a conversation on fox's "the five" show recently. someone's just written a book about it.

Spock. I think he was doing just fine. :)

Seven of Nine.
Do you photography with your smart phone or a camera mostly?

Dignified resignation at the approach of death or "do not go gentle"?
death is the enemy and I think we do everything we can do to fight it, up until the moment where its inevitability is manifest, and then the resignation. in the meanwhile, where there is life there is hope. i also think though, its possible to be dignified in the "everything we can do to fight" camp.
that poem by the way is one of my favorites! i think there is an irony to it though...im not entirely sure but i think Dylan Thomas ultimately didn't live out the precepts from it.
heres a fun one:
the "this or that" game or the "aye or nay" game?
this or that
If you had to make a choice -the "forum game" section or the "general literature" section?
