Since Paul didn't rate it, I'll give Heart Cooks Brain a 10/10.
I love the Talking Heads, but that's not one of my favorites. Still it rates a 7.5/10.
Now THIS is one of my favs!

The Talking Heads are precisely my era, and I always felt that I ought to like them a lot - but I just can't get past the feeling that there's something unengagingly smug and mathematical about them. 5/10
The last of the pre-punk guitar heroes....
No, not at all! That's one of the reasons why I love Modest Mouse, they do a lot of that and it always keeps things interesting.
And Mark's song...I've never heard that song before or heard of that band but it's not half bad. He's no David Gilmour but then again, few are. ;) 7/10
That song reminded me of this one...I'm not exactly sure why, I think it was the dated outfits.

If that isn't Bill Nye the Science Guy, then I'm a monkey's uncle.
I'll give it 8/10
Here's one from Ernie that's been on my mind lately:

Edit: To late.
Donny Iris: I haven't heard that one in forever and I guess I never really knew what Donny Iris looked like. 9/10
Ernie: You can't go wrong with Ernie. 9.5/10

And I bet you wish you still didn't. He's one of those artists that is definitely better heard than seen.
I like this song, Papaya. Robin Hitchcock has always been one of those artists that I thought I would like if I ever took the time to listen and now I know I was right. 9/10

A music critic I know nailed the problem I have with The Beautiful South. He said, "They're just so f**king moral, aren't they?" He's right. It's like being sung to by The Guardian's editorial desk.
3/10
Wondrin why she ain't mine and she is his 'un....
I really like that, Mark. 9/10

The metaphor is a little trite in Tracy's hands (Admittedly, it's a pretty stale trope to begin with). Great voice though. 6.5/10

I almost like it...I want to like it...I think if I only listened to one song at a time I could like it. The yelling is a little jarring but other than the yelling, I could really like that song. I don't know, I'm torn, I'll just play it safe and give it a 6/10.

(the picture quality of this video is excellent; watch it full screen )
that is certainly one of the best-looking youtube videos i have ever seen, thanks for the full screen tip. The video is kind of a mind trip, but i really liked it. As for the song itself I'm not entirely sure what genre it belongs to but it is so catchy. Not exactly my type of music, but i still really enjoyed it, and I really liked the story the video told. 8/10.

There was a moment in the seventies when Queen earned the opportunity, had they chosen to take it, to change the way rock music worked. Unfortunately they conspired to turn themselves into a sort of Lear-jet vaudeville act, and the whole thing became embarrassing. Larry Lurex was the teeth-gritting nadir of that self-betrayal. 2/10
But once, once....
Ohhh, Queen in their heyday, 8.5/10. Dynamite like laser beams...or something like that.

Blameless little song kicked to death by bunch of anonymous pretty boys. 2/10
Then again, it's not as criminal an assault on a venerable institution as this affront to humanity and good taste.
Impossible not to dance to it and never gets old. 9/10!
