The second one seems a lie to me.

I'm going with number 3. The reason being that the first two were dashed off without thinking while the third was carefully crafted. :D
Pen, it was carefully crafted because it's something I feel very strongly about...I love pajamas! So that one is most definitely true, in fact, just this last weekend, I put my summer jammies away and got the fall and winter ones out and I had to make some tough choices because I only had room in my 2 drawers for about half of the ones I had. :( And there is a seriously adorable pair I saw in the mall the other day that I think I'm going to have to pick up so that means I'm going to have to stick another pair back in the box because those drawers are stuffed! I think I may have a problem. :goof:
The second one is true, I fell face first onto the roots of a tree (it was out of the ground and being used as a see-saw at the time), when I was about 5 or 6 causing a nice little dent in my cheek that is very unflattering.
So the lie is the first one, Madhuri had it right, I am calorie conscious in the way that I am at least aware of the ridiculous amount of calories I put in my mouth and sometimes, I feel a little guilty about it, but it doesn't stop me from eating what I want to eat...which is generally speaking, not healthy foods. ;)
So, Mad, it's your turn.
 :eek2: :eek2: :goof: :lol:Quote:

Here's you a nice little puzzle:
1.) I would be telling you the gospel truth to say that I'm looking at one of my bookshelves right now, and there is a book there entitled Warped.
2.) But I would be telling a most foul lie to state that I have actually read the book.
3.) Both statements are either true or both are false. On that decision rests the authenticity of this statement.
:brow:
the third one has to be the lie, afterall, it's two truths and a lie, therefore if one and two are true, the third one has to be false, it is impossible for both 1 and 2 to be false. it doesn't leave enought room for 2 truths.
The third one is false. The authenticity of the third statement does not rest on said decision -- regardless of what the reader "decides," it will be either true or false. It is analogous to flipping a coin, pre-Schroedinger: deciding whether it is heads or tails does not influence whether it is heads or tails.
Interesting answers. But consider this. The statments are:
1.) I would be telling you the gospel truth to say that I'm looking at one of my bookshelves right now, and there is a book there entitled Warped.
2.) But I would be telling a most foul lie to state that I have actually read the book.
3.) Both statements are either true or both are false. On that decision rests the authenticity of this statement.
The top two have to be either both true or both false. Say number one is true, that the book is indeed there. Then the second statement must be true.
That will work, and leave the third as false.
But if the first is false and the book is not there, then the second statement that I am lying about reading it messes up the equation. It makes a double negative. I am lying that I'm lying. Two negatives make a positive when multiplied. Then the third statement is also a lie, because there is no way for both statements to be false. I have been slightly tricky. The truth is that book is there, I haven't read it yet, and so that makes the third statement irrelevant. Good show!
I say 1...weren't you recently cold?
here is another puzzle:
I.I just caught cold.
2.I recently got caught by my boss for departing befor the time required for departing!
3.I just saw a pic of a kidnapped girl and the kidnapper has nt been caught yet!
:D
goodluck!
Robin says 1,any other guesses?
I think its 3...dont ask me why...:D
Number 2, Miss T. It seems out of character for you. ;)
okay!
I'm so sorry to disappoint your high opinion of me,Pen, but I did it!
Maddie, not gonna ask you why dear, but I've got to tell you that you're wrong:p:D
Robin, you are starting to frighten me ,boy! either you are an Interpol guy or have six sense! He is the winner:lol:
To preserve the mystery...
1. Death
2. Taxes
3. Statistics
lie?
statistics?
To me it's Statistics... they're never really that accurate anyway.... so 3 it is..
Well, statistics may not always be accurate, but you can always count on somebody quoting them. People fake their death all the time as well, or collect money on someone who never even existed. A great many people manage to get out of paying taxes. But, like Death and Taxes, Statistics will always be with us. Perhaps "none of the above in and of itself?"
2 truths and a lie, then.
Something really shallow, for a change.
1) I have a disgusting-looking scar right on my elbow that looks like acid was dropped on it.
2) I have no patience for people in front of me who walks as though anytime they could step on an immortal insect.
3) I have seen half of all the posts of "Uncle" Pendragon.
Mark Twain defined three kinds of lies: "Lies, damn lies, and statistics." Death and taxes, of course, are the universe's constants. So the answer would be three, both for mine, and for Lain.

What do you mean? That I would pick the same answer as you have?
*confused*:bawling:
My apologies, Lain -- I meant that I suspected your third statement to be the lie.
Ahhhhhhhhh, man!
I could smell frustration in me going afoul
And a Robin is the one to blame, I bawl
(I have to honestly get better!!!)
Two truths and a lie then....
1). I have 5 brothers and 3 sisters.
2). I was born in Kenya but moved to the Philippines when I was 6.
3). I have dyslexia.
Toni. that was a hard one! You even got ME thinking! And I am your secret-keeper! What the heck....
I say 1 is a lie.
You only have 4 brothers and 3 sisters
1. I have a big nose
2. I like Chili Dogs
3. I see dead people
Good One!
Ooops! My bad.. So was I wrong?
Laind: numb. 1 is ur lie
Van:numb. 2
Miss T. I think you meant Toni's Truth or Lie query..not mine...
She's asking more people to guess...before she divulges...
Toni, The Dragon will call number 2 a lie. And Lain, I knew for sure you could not have possibly read any where near half of old "Uncle" (Thanks, I would be honored to have two such lovely nieces!) Pendragon's posts! But little brother Robin beat me to the punch! ;)
Van, I will go with number one. To explain that, many American and British toops are in Iraq, as your location says, "for now." Hot dogs with chili, or “chili dogs” are a favorite American food. Troops are unfortunately going to see too many dead people as far as I am concerned in this war. So one is false.
Hmmm,,,
D'you guys want ZeTruth?
Okay!
Drumroll please.....:flare: :flare:
Number 1 is true. Yes, I have 5 brothers and 3 sisters. pretty shocking, huh? But the 4 brothers and the 1 sister are only half-siblings..
We are originally 4- Pretty Laind, Geeky me, Cute Iza and Young Billy.- in particular order.
Number 3 is also true. I have dyslexia. It is tough at times, you know, you mix up your spelling badly- like I had to ask Laind if it is "Febuary" or "February" "theire" or "their" but the insane thing is, I always know how to spell dyslexia.:alien:
Hahahahahahah! Good one, Mr. Pen..
For the others:
I can't believe you guys fell for number 2!
Number 2 is a lie. (though I wish it were true, it would make me more  interesting)
