This avatar, which is below the PAM, is a scene from the book by J.R.R.Tolkien, called the Silmarillion, of Fingolfin's fight with Melkor. It represents, to me, how I must resist and push back the forces of darkness, no matter how small I feel in the struggle against a world full of evil. Did you see Lord of the Rings or read the books? Elrond is Fingolfin's descendant. In the fight illustrated in my avatar, every time Melkor's weapon struck the earth, it cracked it wide open.
