Probably, it could have been one of mine :D I was eating in a posh restaurant once and got a staple stuck in the roof of my mouth. I told the waiter and he whisked my plate away faster than you could say salmonella. I'd already eaten half of it but he came back with a whole new meal. It was hard work, but I ate it all, and had a pudding :D

If a coworker was telling partial truths and sometimes down right lies (about other coworkers) to a brand new coworker would you defend yourself or give it time and let the new corworker find the truth out for themselves.
I think I'd be inclined to sort the mendacious coworker out, in no uncertain terms. I own a sjambok, which is particularly effective as a means of corrective therapy. I would invite the new coworker to watch.

It's difficult to remember that far back! Mostly I still enjoy the stuff I liked way back then, but there is little contemporary music being played that is anything like good. Not that I listen to as much music as I did when I was a teenager. These days I tend only to listen to stuff in order to learn how to play it.
