Broken History
Devils break no mystery.
They're chained to dreams of death.
They can't redo their history.
My words won't give them breath -
since I have better things to do
and even devils know I do.

I am glad you liked that break in the rhyme, Tailor! It is a pattern I learned and likely a form of common meter, but I have forgotten its name.
May we all have those spiritual eyes (being led by Jesus) to see beyond the ken of man.

Flowering Spring
Each flower in spring
is that flower to bring
us to thanks that a spring
comes at all.
