an enticement to wanderlust
to delve into nature's nave
where the artificial world
gives way to fields of lilacs
alive with sweetness and buzz
or mountainous retreats -
barren rock or forested fortresses
or my personal balm the seashore -
a multitudinous of moods on display
salt spray, fleet footed sandpipers
and gliding pelicans 'midst
the surf roar and sigh and gulls cry
all generating a wellspring
of solace and communion

A tailor-made doll.
Black hair, black eyes
on a body of white cotton
And yes she speaks,
profering witty ditties.
When she isn't buried in reflection
she dances in anticipation
of games and adventures.
She is definitely a doll with aura.

the tallest of his generation did loudly remark
to an unapologetic amusement ride worker
"I've been in line since midday!" screamed the berserker
You see he wasn't "This tall" - just missing the mark
then amazed was escorted kicking and screaming from the park

like the housed snail,

snow blankets the forest
a bear has become dissociated
from the world and dreams
in the dead of night
distinctive for a absent tusk
a grand old boar forages
aided by the gathering of his family
rooting through the harsh snow
hunkered down
inside their galais dungal
a Wašišiw family shares food and warmth
telling tall tales - one in particular
shows off an awesome boar's tusk
while an elder rolls his eyes

A white nosed coati
lived with his white nosed family
strategically near an ant hill.
One day father coati witnessed a fight
between a wrestler and a young guitar player.
The young guitar player died of the wounds,
but, thanks to the testimony of the coati
was acqitted of intentional murder.
He got a lifelong sentence,
but his soul was relieved.

In the attic
In an old attic
there is a chest besides
one map covered
with dust and cobwebs.
And yes, love letters
carefully packed,
hold together
by a rosa string.
I look at the letters
with quiet wonder,
for they look as fresh
as the day there were written.
In the tepid afternoons
someone has been reading them secretly.
