I hate to be a worry wart, but Steph's last post was on the third. I was wondering if anyone has heard from her. I have sent her two pm's but haven't heard anything back. I'm really concerned. She is so young to have to deal with the situation she talked about. My thoughts are with her.
hopefully steph has an answer. Maybe she's celebrating because it's good news. If not, let's all hope that it works out somehow to her advantage and that it's OK. Let's send positive thoughts her way.
Still no sign of her? I hope everythings okay....

I got a pm from Steph. She wanted me to let everyone know that she is grounded for life. Results of the test, considering her age, are not good. We need to all send postitive thoughts her way and hope she will be ok through this whatever she decides to do.
I'm sad to hear that the results didn't go more in her favor. I am glad to hear that she did tell her parents, and I hope that however things go she will be alright. It took real strength to let her parents know the results, and I am hoping that they will calm down and be supportive after the shock has worn off. Steph you are in my thoughts and prayers.
I know I'm going to sound really judgmental but that is practically Steph's fault. She should have taken more care of herself instead of just passing out in random places or partying.
I wouldn't have told my parents thought. Just tried ruda. She got herself in trouble and thought I feel sorry for her, I'm angry at her too.
What's ruda?
Parties happen and good friends go to the party with you and they watch your back when you can't take care of yourself.
What about the boy who did it? WHY doesn't anyone ever sit their son down and say, don't have sex with a girl who doesn't what's going on????
If I were her parents, I would use whatever means to find out who the dad is.
Ruda is the Spanish name for a cleansing herb. If you've an early pregnancy it's a good way to loose the kid (you'll bleed like hell tho.)
If i were her parents I wouldn't have allowed her to go out in the first place.
Parents don't usually talk to kids about that. they'll figure they'll learn on their own. Everything I know about it I have learned from someone else and the internet.
People are just like that.
Or maybe birth control pills. Or the morning after pill. But you kind of have to be aware of what happened the night before.
But I think we're touching on abortion there and I just hate that topic.
Poor thing. But I just hate the guy. He doesn't have a clue what he caused.
Please excuse if a guy enters this, but I have read the last few days what happened and I'm going to explode with anger. Not at Steph. Perhaps she was imprudent (and what 15 year old hasn't been at some point) but at what these low life bastards did, if true. [Edit: Snip. Perhaps I shouldn't write in anger, so I'll delete this section of my original post.] There is nothing that angers me more than boys that don't act chivalrous. Steph and her family wll have to do what is best and comfortable for them, but I would press charges on these pricks to the hilt. And whose ever house that took place, I would sue the pants off of them.
Steph it was not your fault. You didn't commit any crime. Those bastards did. You and your family are in my prayers.
Well said Virgil!
Have you ever blacked out Baki? While on a night out with friends? I have. You have no recollection of what you were doing during that time or who you where with. Having a black out does not mean you passed out, its also when you can remember what you did. I was lucky my friends were with me or god only knows what would have happened. You shouldnt be angry with Steph. There was no one watching her back when she blacked out, and some creep took advantage of that.
(can we please stay away from the topic of abortion. Thank you)
This is a big step for me - I bought a big purse. I usually buy small purses, the kind that only fit a cell phone, gum, lipstick, drivers license, cash and a couple of credit cards. Three of my old purses can fit in my new one, i'm sitting here thinking of the possibilites.....What do other women keep in their purses...I don't understand. Other then it's cute I'm not sure why I bought it or what I'm gonna put in this thing. it's a garbage bag with a tassle...(ok, that may be a bit dramatic..)
Not necessarily all simultaneously but...
A book, diary, pencil box, couple of cereal bars, a small bottle of water (sometimes), wet and dry tissues, hand cream...
Post a pick, post a pic! Have been looking for a new handbag for a month now!
lipstick, brush, wallet, handiwipes, hand sanitizer, spray (helps with disgusting public bathrooms) stuff
I need a new purse too. I just got one but it was labeled as a work tote and you could fit a laptop in this thing (it has padding for one)
but what I liked about it was the pen holder and cell phone holder. there is nothing more frustrating than having your phone ring and not being able to find it because it's in the creases somewhere. And pens too - sometimes I need a pen and if it's lost in a bottomless pit of a purse I get very flustered.
the problem with a big purse is sometimes you don't know what you're pulling out. like one time, at the store I was paying for groceries and I didn't realize that a tampon had sort of adhered itself between the crease in my change purse. It was so embarrassing. I don't know why that embarrassed me but it did - I mean periods are a fact of life and most women have tampons in their purses. Anyway, I digress.
I like black purses. they're more veratile.
umm hi guys, i dont think that you guys should be mad at steph.she seems nice, where did she go, and why did she leave for good? i dont understand her blog.
I go back and forth between purse size. I get bored with purses quite quickly, I generally switch them every few months and it seems like I'll start off with a small purse and decide it's too small so the next one I buy will be huge and I'll love it for awhile, then decide it's too bulky and awkward and go with a smaller one the next time. The purse I have right now is really small because the last one I had was HUGE and I got sick of hitting things with it all the time. The new one just has room for my wallet, datebook and a little first aid kit (I'm kind of obsessed with first aid kits...I just love the small packets). I have a little pocket on the outside for my phone and gum. I bought it and almost immediately lamented my choice. In fact, I actually had a dream the very night I bought it where I was whining because my purse was too small. I've gotten used to it now...sort of. I might be able to go a whole month before I buy a new one. :D
I too love purses. I'll buy a purse a lot faster than I'll buy shoes or clothing.
My prize is a purse I bought years ago that I carry every now and again.
I only carry a small purse when I'm at a party or funeral or wedding. Otherwise, it has to be big. My life is in my purse. If I had to carry a small one, I'd have to carry something else to tote all my other stuff in.
I am not mad at steph. I did post some inappropriate responses in the discussion about her predicament but it was coming from my frustration with the situation and nothing I posted was intended to ridicule her.
I am sorry that happened to her, and I don't like her friends for leaving her there and I certainly don't think much of the other people at that party.
As always, I hope it works out for the best.
Virgil, you've said what most of us were thinking and I thank you. Steph isn't to blame here. If she was not aware of what was going on, she was raped.
Now she will have to deal with it one way or the other and he's off free to do the same if something isn't done. I just hope that Steph has the support of her family and friends. She appears to be a bright young girl and I hope the best for her. I'll keep her in my prayers.
I carry separate little bags for such 'awkward' items in my handbag (either tiny make-up bags or even glass-cases or pouches) so even if the contents of my bag fall out, they are 'hidden'.
Looking forward to seeing the photo, Papaya! :)
I have several bags in my handbag....wallets (3) and card holders(2) and a makeup bag, a bag for pens and such, and meds. I love wallets too.
I'm not very girl like on this issue at all. I can't remember the last time I carried a purse. I normally have a wallet and keys in my pants pocket. In the winter it all enters my jacket and it isn't permanently removed until it gets warm again. I always have a diaper bag for the more awkward things like tampons. I don't know what I'll do when that isn't available any longer.
On the subject of steph...
Hear, hear, Virgil. There may have been considerable imprudence at play, but only a speck was on Steph's part - the rest belongs to those who believe hedonism comes without a price
That pretty much sums it up for me. I just wish there were more men - heroes - to keep this kind of thing from happening. Poor Steph - caught in a terrible predicament for which she had no desire and could only barely have foreseen. I suppose we can only hope her troubles will pass soon.
I'm quite a queen of huge handbags... I hardly ever go out without a bottle of water (unless it's a night out or dinner or such, then I'll have a smaller bag, but for daily use my bag must fit a half-litre bottle), umbrella since I live in the UK , if I have to take public transport I often have a book or two (which I don't read because I have music with me too ), and then all things like wallet, tissues, keys, sometimes a small mirror, pens, sometimes paper cos you never know... sometimes food if I'm like working or something and I need energy...
Although I admit that my massive bag phase was due to university...
Some people also carry a comb and deodorant...
Problem is that, the more you fill it, the heavier it is...
Hey girls,
I have a question about hair colouring. I have straight, black hair, and I do not want to deviate much from the original colour. Do you think colouring will damage hair to a great extent? Will it lead to grey hair, if later I discontinue? What are the risks involved?
Coloring becomes this ongoing thing that you have to continue doing month after month if you are not careful. If you don't want to go much lighter than your natural color, then it shouldn't be that big of a deal.
I've heard that you shouldn't have your hair colored while you're pregnant, but people still get their hair colored anyway, so I don't know about the risks.
As far as hair damage, if you leave the color on too long, you can damage the hair you have and it's harder to brush and you have to spend a lot of time conditioning it. But I haven't heard anything about hair color affecting your future hair growth really.
If I were you, I would get a semi-permanent dye to start with. It washes out after a month or so, so there is no real commitment there. Then if you like what you got, you could go permnanent. Or you could just get a few strands woven in for a subtle change. And you could do those strands demi or semi permanent if you wanted. Are you planning to have someone else do it? That might be wise.
Good luck. I myself have a love/hate relationship with hair color. I had highlights and lowlights for years and got tired of it so I tried going down to my natural color. I didn't like that so I had a some semi-permanent red that I did myself, but I really prefer someone else to do the coloring even if it's not complicated. So the latest is my natural, which is this dark blonde with just a few face framing very blonde highlights
I will be going to a professional, ofcourse. As of now, I don't know if I want to go for highlights or colouring entirely, the professionals will guide as to what will suit (highlights or complete colour) and they would also know what products to use after, which is an important thing to maintain the hair colour and the quality.
Going for semi-permanent colour initially seems like a good idea. I will be able to decide within a month if I want to continue or not.
I was a bit worried about the damage, if I discontinue. I have heard people saying that as there is chemical content, such colouring may result in grey hair, in that case, you won't be able to discontinue. I guess, if proper care is taken, using right shampoo and conditioner, this may be avoided.
That's nice! My handbags usually look like that (more or less). After a long search, I finally got a new bag but not so sure about it. It's a gift; not exactly the colour or model I would usually go for but it is a nice change.
And what's a handbag anyway? Here today, gone tomorrow! ;)
I don't think I'm much of a girl when it comes to handbags. I've never had a handbag that model or anything similar. I wear a backpack when I go to school, and then I have a different model (not a handbag though) when I'm not in school. Don't you get tired of CARRYING the bag around everywhere? Why not just let it hang over your shoulder. :) Someone needs to convince me about handbags.
