The electronic manuscript.
Dark night!
The electronic manuscript wakes up, shakes itself:
Q,W, E, R, T, Y bounce
up and down!
up and down!
Taking by a fateful wanderlust
the manuscript jumps down,
now a mad dancer performing on
the small red carpet of the room.
The electronic clock strikes one.
The manuscript falls on the floor,
mute and stingy as a jellyfish

Christmas Day
Summer!
In the dining room
the green pine Christmas tree,
covered with artificial white snow
and ornamented with red ribbons
stands in contrast to the scorching heat outside.
Radiant children run expectantly around the house.
They make angelic efforts to preserve their party clothes
On the window sill a yellow kitten streches itself lazily,
detached from the human hubbub

in many a quarter and candles waxed in
others where there was no electricity whilst
some were planning their turkeys and hams

out homes and visitors from the depths of
space pondered just where it all went wrong

Fibonacci had an armoured shell
the symbol of a royal snail who
lived on a tiny apron of a færie's
enchanted garden far from rough
fields where the clamor of war was
heard as it raged and it raged

He longed to go to war to show his
mettle he mused as he chewed a plump
dandelion petal but the færie folk
were adamant that he and all the
creatures in the enchanted garden
be unnoticed by worldly contentions

Yet one fateful day Fibonacci screwed
up his courage and mounted a brown
bat to fly to the scene of obscenity where
the enmity between man and alien was
made manifest and blessed be it was he!
who turned the tide against the enemy

Memories of 2023
As the candle light of 2023
is flickering out,
memories crowd
around me
some sweet, some bitter.
Some
perspicaciously deformed,
caricatures of what we call "real".
Others appear magnified into
golden holograms.
Wars, losses, achievements
hatred, love(s), friends, foes,
disappointments,
hopes...
It´s time to close the gabled windows
of 2023 and
open the door inviting the future in.
Happy 2024 to all the friendly spirits
from around the globe!

lights dancing in the heavy air l-
uminescence an extrovert firefly
maundering turns abruptly
into a gentle breeze beginni-
ng to stir banking over an anci-

countless furtive journeys
escaping predators - tonight a si-
ngle moonbeam slices through dank trees

Possibly the music is a madrigal.
He looks relaxed and content,
no love or war turmoil agitates his heart.
He reclines on a bank of moss.
At his feet an enraptured snake
listens quietly to the tune.
