Hi, I'm Alexandra. I used to have an account here back in 2006ish (username: bysshe). Since then I've finished school, done a degree in English Literature at Oxford, moved to Rome, and written two novels!

I was partly inspired to move to Rome by my love of Keats and Shelley, and I'm still a huge fan of Romantic poetry. I love 19th century literature in general, but I'm trying to read more contemporary literature these days.

My novel "In Exile" is about Dionysus being re-born in Rome in the 20th century and creating a new teenage following. A link, for anyone who likes books about Rome/Greek mythology/teenage girls joining cults and going crazy

I just joined this group mainly to get answers to questions regarding books I've read in the past. I've read a lot, so much so that I can't remember everything I've ready and I have that annoying habit of recalling a part of a story or tiny detail that relates to whatever I'm doing at the moment, but am often unable recall the title or author of the aforementioned story.
