I´m Edgar Sacadura, i´m a graphic designer from Portugal, I LOOVE to read (big crush on poetry) and paint (recently digital painting).
I don´t have a "favourite book" but there are some authors that i love, from Edgar Allan Poe, Ary dos Santos, Fernando pessoa...

I'm an ocassional reader of books which are educational - like a history of almost everything (Bill Bryson) or George Orwell's 1984 and Animal Farm.

Welcome, Peter, Edgar, Rosy and all the others! I've picked up "The American Transcendentalists Essential Writings" at a used book store recently. My favorite quote from Emerson is "Every wall is a door." Nice digital paintings, Edgar! I saw your fast paced drawing of The Little Prince on YouTube. I don't have any books to recommend. What I think I want to read now a week from now I probably won't be as interested in it.

Dear fellow members I was born just to the west of London shortly after the second world war. Like most Britons at the time we were very poor. Food rationing continued for some time after the war right up to 1954 just after the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. I was five years old before I saw a sweet or a bar of chocolate but we sometimes had biscuits. There was a friend of our family who was an Author and he told me once that if a story was told well it could be about absolutely anything and still be a joy to read. When I retired a short while ago I decided to write a book. It will be a pleasure to share my efforts with others.

Have you read "The Worm Ouroboros" by E.R. Edison? It's one of the best pre-Tolkien ssword an d sorcery fantasy novels. The villains are great characters (Gorice X).Quote:
