I hate to say it but it depends on how inconvenient it is for me to avoid the store. For example I don't like walmart but every year I get a gift certificate so I have to go in..

I took part in a campaign against 'Tesco' supermarkets many years back as part of the local Greenpeace group. It was trying to get them to stop importing Icelandic fish because Iceland was involved in whaling. If that counts, then YES.

Seriously, no. I wouldn't go to the expedition in the first place (I would have left my partner long before that).

No way. It's not just about if someone finds out or not..its just plain WRONG and it taints the connection between you two. Have the decency to break up with your partner first if you're so unhappy that you go and cheat.

Yes, but it would depend on the nature of the business. [good thing I don't have to worry about that - we're all academics! A bit boring, actually]

I have given it anonymously before and with a lot of self-rewarding feelings afterwards; I leave the pompous donations for advertisers and corporations.
