In conversation when Nunavut is brought up in polite conversation (outside of Canada and Canadians) it is often misunderstood as "none of it"

Great Britain is not a country at present. The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is at the moment, but after yesterday goodness only knows what will be in ten years' time. (Even citizens aren't clear about the difference between Great Britain, - a geographical concept - the United Kingdom (well, two kingdoms, a principality and a province to be exact), - a political concept - and England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.)
